Dad is in the hospital with a hiatal hernia which has allowed his entire stomach and part of his colon to enter his chest cavity. He is in a stable condition, they are running tests to determine the best method of fixing everything, the main surgery will be Friday or Saturday.

My grandmother had a gallstones operation on Thursday, she is doing very well.

Got plane tickets for my vacation this week. Going to be in Berlin and Prague Sept 16 - 27. The lovely Coccinelle is going to meet us for dinner. There are so many great museums in Berlin, but Prague is going to be my favorite by far.
We were going to go to Russia, but our parents were worried about us going there so much we decided to change it. I think we will enjoy this trip much more anyway, we can always do Russia some other time.

It was nice to have a calm and sedate christmas without all the running around that I have had in previous years AND a white one this year as well. Belated merry christmas to everyone and a happy new year.

Saw Sorority Row this weekend, best horror movie I've seen in a long time. Not much else has been going on to be worth writing about.
