I was maybe 15 years old, something of a late bloomer, when I met my first pin-up. There was a set of cards, all Olivia artwork. I remember best the Betty Page inspired stuff. When I was 12, in 1971, my older brother swapped me about 20 near-new Playboys for a formica-topped coffee table I had in my room... ironically, he'd given it to me a few years earlier, then decided he wanted it back. Of course, they blew my 12-year-old mind, not just for the naked babes, but for the awesome short science-fiction stories, and the amazing artwork... not the least of which was that they always had an Alberto Vargas pinup in each edition. Whilst Olivia is great, I never really got into her art, because it is so completely a homage to Vargas, it might as well be Vargas.

It held up. Hell of a movie, and way more deranged than I remembered.
