Holy crap.. I was driving home from another crappy day at work, listening to Air America and had the big... HOLLY CRAP moment... The official announcement that Barak Obama got the Dem nomination... (at least he clinched the number of delegates he needs for the nomination)... We will see if HC is a professional and concedes as a professional... I am so damn happy that in my life time we have finally nominated someone other than just another rich, inner circle white guy... I was pretty damn close to really loosing faith in this country, not the ideals and such, but the people and how appethetic most are, and how they are so damn willing to go along with the latest set of sound bites, never really thinking things out for themselves and what's in the interest of them and all those to come... I am a bit worried, there are still so many damn bigiot's around that I can't help to think that some will go radical and think that in their own twisted way, they have to "do something" to avoid a black man becoming the 44th president... That seems to happen so often to our greatest of leaders I can't help but worry.... I just hope that I am completely wrong, and that the Secret Service has learned a few things in the past 4 decades....

I really think it's going to be a really emotinal moment to pull the lever for Obama in November... I can't imagine anyone better to help us get past some of the most destructive and devisive issues that have done nothing but tear us all down since the 80's..

It's a damn good day and I hope it's the beginning of at least a number of damn good years...
