"Danny Francetti's Jazz Box!"

Moving on, I've finished Uni for the year!
Here's a brief recollection of the final day events...

"OK, finish the sentence you're writing. Congratulations, you've survived the course: please put your answer papers in the corresponding tray as you leave."

Before anyone has a chance to move, I...

Good day!

I had the most ridiculous badminton fixture last night. All three of my matches went to three sets, which meant I was on court (continuously) for a grand total of 150 minutes.
Unfortunately I was lumbered with slightly aged playing partners in each match, so I had a lot of work to do also!

In the third match, we were taking on this...

Merry x-mas and a good new year (all in forward, yeah yeah) to you too, thanks for it! Don't panic about your "scribblings", I'm happy to read it WHEN you have some smile . Like with my pics, those lines come and go in their own schedule, so don't press on it.

Have a great time and take care!

[this account still is up, strange smile ]

A week of bombastic apathy this week. If that's possible.

I noticed that I could crosses by loads of these things, so I thought I'd just prove it:

(X) I've Never Been Drunk - Ha! George Best! Ha!
(X) I've Never Smoked Pot - Stick to cannabis
( ) I've Never Kissed A Member Of The Opposite Sex - Few years back now
(X) I've...

I envy you, you did the sensible thing. I wish I didn't live with these arseholes.

And I applaud you, that is a LOT of crosses, and makes you far more interesting than everyone else.

I'm sorry Lynn but technically your life isn't worth insuring.

Hail,

My old man rant this week is one that has troubled me for a couple of years now: scarves. A scarf worn in January, in tandem with a big coat is all well and good. But a scarf worn at the end of October/beginning of November, in tandem with a T-shirt (!) is just plain wrong. There comes a point where a scarf ceases...

I don't find him loathesome. I think he should cheer up a bit and be nice to people more but generally I'm in love with him and think that I shall probably have his children some day.

Rant for the week: people giving out fliers at University! There's hundreds of them every week, and as the term goes on I go to more and more extreme measures to avoid them. (Jumping over fences etc...)

In the first week of term I can suffer them:
Q- "Like to enter a prize draw to win <something rubbish>?"
A- "No, Thanks"

By week 5 it's...

Other things this woman has said in the past lead me to the impression she had invisibility confused with something that isn't invisibility. Holographic Imaging or something of the like seems possible.

Dreadful girl.

I would have stuck with the dead too-having a bride who can pop out her own eyeballs and play the piano 'free handed' has got to make up for the fact she is dead-and besides, the blue skin is attractive smile Havent seen the Val Kilmer film yet,but Im sure I will-my friend has a huge crush on him,so I will be dragged to see it soon I expect.

I've been "tagged" by miladydewinter (that's the last time I ever leave the house without my bulletproof vest).
So without further ado, here are 20 amusing fact-based anecdotes about me:

1 As a very small child I had an inate ability to tell a car's make, just from looking at it from 30 metres away. Puzzling, due to the fact that I now believe cars...

ooh, haven't read Gormenghast yet, it's on my Christmas list... on a bit of a non-fiction kick at the mo, reading The Golden Bough, 19th century exploration of magic and religion. excellent fare for a 20th century atheist smile almost as much fun as the Blind Watchmaker

watch out for angry and violent garden furniture darling... you're far too young and lovely to be murdered by a fence!

"If you work it out, tell me what you find."

Cordial greetings,
I've been using a new word this week: coruscating, meaning bright and dazzling. It's a word to conjure with! biggrin

I also had the revelation earlier this week that my natural singing voice makes me sound like a geordie. Odd certainly, given that I'm southern born and bred, but I was able to lead...

"Thinking outrageously, I write in cursive..."

No really, I do. In fact, I've been bemoaning this week the apparent death of handwriting as a medium. No one these days writes in a cursive hand, and the world is the poorer for it! The nadir has come now at University: all coursework must be word processed. This means not only a lack of aesthetic pleasure to...

I've seen my parents once a month at the absolute most ever since they sent me to boarding school when I was 13, and this weekend was the first time I've seen them since early august. They're very used to not seeing me; its a bit late now to worry about that!
If she thought this was a phase that would never actually happen, I don't think she'd be so annoyed. And much as I hate the fact, she only ever said she was worried about not seeing her grandchildren. Not her daughter.
I know my mother loves me, but its in a very clumsy, completely sporadic way.
Once she makes the time for me and my brother that she makes for her cats or her friends or her job, THEN she can comment on what I do with my life wink

Aaah, short films are most definitely the way forward. Most long films aren't good enough to hold my attention, and start to lose it way before the end. With the exception of LoTR. I really do want to see the corpse bride, but I'm tempted to wait until we get it in where I work, so I can watch it for free biggrin

Mythomania? as in obsession with telling stories? particularly those involving men with beards and dragons? fabulous.

Mary Bennet? you strange creature, you... always wanted her to marry Mr Collins though.

yes indeed as in P&P, although I was actually named after a fictitious Victorian whore from a Sherlock Holmes story... thanks Mum. gold star if you can name her wink

Good morrow, pilgrims!
Spurning my boring Anthropology reading, I have instead been writing! I let myself get carried away somewhat with the language of the character Gadrion. I had to stop it from going too Jane Austen! shocked S'Fun though! It's supplied below for any that might be interested.

In other news, went to see Bloc Party on Monday, in the worst ventilated venue known to...

The cold, chilling wind. A leaden sky. The featureless, spiky architecture. A sea of plague ridden wastrels, huddling along in small groups whilst coughing their disease into the air around. Red rimmed eyes stare sullenly out, concealed as they are beneath dark hoods...

Yes, I'm back at University! A most joyous occasion...
Tomorrow is my first early start. It takes 75 minutes to get from...

I admitted defeat today and begun to look out some more Autumnal and, dare I say Wintry, clothing. As I look out my window, the yellows and browns are just beginning to steal precedence from the green. Always an interesting time of year, and one that calls for some Keats...

So, just a few short days before the return to the drudgery of University life. Oh, how gratifying! My Summer is over in the blink of an eye once again! And what's more, I spent every minute of it in England. Not what I wished for, and not something I intend to repeat.

Got dragged to a gig in Brighton last night: Anberlin, Early November...

Well "Gravestone" was written in a really 'life-loving' situation, and the last days have been again just like that... but I won't clusterbomb your journal with my shits wink

In my opinion german lyrics are... well wether it turns out to sound like "Rammstein" like (or at least your audience automatically will put you in one line with them) or it sounds like kind of wellfare-band-lyrics.
Even if our new drummer asked if we could do a german song my answer will be "no", and as long as I am the only one writing and caring for lyrical mayhem it will stay this way.

And now I need some time to feed my brains with your new part of story smile
