So here comes the mythical new blog!
Howdy, how are you all? I can't exactly remember what it was that I was going to tell you all so we'll just have to suffer through a recap wont we.
And I apologise in advance if this is a bit long winded.
Well where do we start? I started going for a run with Amanda after work once or twice a week, I wasn't sure how I was going to go with it as I have not run since I was in high school which was ten years ago now. I used to be quite good at both short and long distance events, but that was a long time ago now so I was unsure as to how I would hold up. So our first run came up and I nailed it, Amanda took me on a 5k circuit around our suburb with a fairly sizeable hill involved and somehow against all odds I, the pack a day smoker who hasn't run in a decade was the first home, who knew right? So we go for another run the following week, taking the same route we roll through the suburbs again, and I managed to beat her home again by a good few minutes, and Amanda isn't a slob, she plays netball once a week, two games of touch footy amongst running and everything else, so she is pretty damn fit. Anyway, after some playful joking and gentle ribbing across the week the time comes up for our third run and I know the route this time, so I just go for it to see what happens, well I'd lost her by the top of the hill (which is the first 1.5km) and power home to beat her by a good 10 min, so let me tell you the whole quit and get healthy thing is looking very sketchy now.
And now it's late and I must sleep, so goodnight for now I will finish that story soon

Ok so I'm full of lies and deceit, the new blog has been postponed until tomorrow there was a bit of late breaking news that has me a bit concerned. But I can't find out more till tomorrow, so for now goodnight and good luck.
Hey folks, welcome to Tuesday and I feel like writing some stuff.
So... what's going on? Well, nothing much and a shit tonne all at the same time apparently. So lets do some more catch up shall we, about a month ago my car was stolen from a petrol station whilst I was on my way into town to pick up my housemates who were on a night out, and let me tell you that was inconvenient as fuck! Needless to say the girls had to catch a cab home and thankfully they where able to pick me up on the way through. But I was still pretty gutted for the next few days, I mean she's not just a car, she is my freedom, she's not much to look at and she has more than her fair share of problems, but she is mine and she is all that I have, to have that taken away just left me feeling trapped and hopeless. It left me worried about how I would be able to continue to get about as I don't have insurance (I haven't needed it, I don't crash and up until then no one has wanted to steal her) and I couldn't afford to replace her.
But on the fourth day I received a call from the police and it was good news, they had found her in an estate a few suburbs away, all in one piece and not at any stage having been on fire! Bonus. So all I have had to do is replace the tyres and the brakes and although it's a pain in the arse it's better than trying to find another mode of transport with almost no money.
And now for a good story.
The weather was kind enough on Sunday for us to take the boat out and do some skiing, so we cracked out the gear and headed off to Atkinson Dam. I managed to go for a spin on a single ski twice, mind you only the second time was on purpose, I was on doubles the first time and managed to loose one crossing the wake at 40mph, still I managed too hold it together for a few seconds until the inevitable happened and I went arse up, when I tried the second time it was on a proper single ski and I managed to remain upright and out of the water for about 4 minutes, so new record. We set the tubes up a little later and had a bit of a play, we got some pretty decent air too, and a good day was had by all.
Anyway I think that will do for now, I'm not really with it at the moment. So to you all out there, Have a great day and some good luck
Swanks

Hey guys how is everyone?
Ok so new month new blog. And like I promised last time there shall be no talk of housemates to be seen.
So what's been happening... well... I recently rediscovered how much I love Something for Kate, cheeky little buggers released a few albums whilst I was away, Aaand I have just discovered they are touring!!!here's to May.
I got to go to Melbourne last weekend to go to my oldest friends wedding, we have known each other since pre-school which will be 15 years this year. It was a wonderful ceremony at the RACV country club in beautiful Healsville, we had some fantastic food and I may have had a bottle of red or two. I also got to see my good friend Anne for a couple of hours we had dinner a a vegan establishment ( apparently I have forgotten how to spell restaurant 7th time lucky hey?) in Richmond called "loving hut", a very nice feed I would happily recommend it to anyone even though it's rabbit food :p. After all that we tried to go rock climbing with one of her work friends who had also had dinner with us, but unfortunately we had left our run too late and they were closing when we arrived, but thems the breaks, so instead we took old mate home and enjoyed a nice Indian tea and sat in his driveway having a good old chat.
So I think my train of thought may have just derailed, but I really want to build a rat rod, I'm thinking a 49 chev pickup running a big carburettor fed v12, chopped and shaved, sitting on it's arse with big white walls. I'm thinking probably a really deep green, matt finished of course with all the pipework fabricated out of copper brass and alloy. It would have a simple box tray decked out with a well grained light coloured timber perhaps Tassie oak. And at a later date I could build a bike to match, an Indian or a Triumph perhaps.
But I have realised that I am rambling so, my thoughts go out to Pesky and Kurosune I hope things pick up for both of you, and to Arroia good luck with your appointment today, can't wait to see the photo's
So that's all for now, thanks for sticking with us Swanks

Ok shooting for a record here, two blogs in a month.
So where was I? Ah that was it the new house mates, I'll sum it up pretty quickly Sarah is pretty cool she reminds me of a girl I knew years ago, now I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not so we'll play it by ear. Mel isn't too bad either, she gets a bit well... randy shall we say when she drinks, not being a bad thing at the time, but she becomes very embarrassed for the following weeks, and I'm not entirely sure that I'm equiped to deal with that. Dylan is ok, he is a bit of a youngun, I have no problem as a friend, but I think he way become problematic as a house mate, he hasn't contributed much to the house and seems to use a fair bit, he is also a bit unstable work wise he has gone through two jobs in three weeks one he left, the other he was asked to.
Anyway that is enough on house mates and I shall move on to anouther subject for the next one I promise

Hey folks how is everyone today?
So new blog time, lets see what has been happening since we last had a reasonable conversation... Well I have an almost new set of housemates, it seems keeping a hold of the good ones is a bit of a challenge, the original set has moved on to greener pastures and half their luck. I kind of miss seeing them though Mandi has moved up to Mt Isa with a new teaching position and Kayla left to go live with her partner. Amanda is still here though which is great, I really get along with her. Our new housemates are Mel (a previous tennant from before my time) Dylan (who replied to our gumtree ad) and Sarah who Mandi organised to move in before she moved out.
But as usual I have taken too long to write this, I was distracted, honest. I will post more shortly. As for now, goodnight

It is our house warming party tonight, so things could get a little loose
Work has been allright recently.
And finally I think I may have had a world first the other day, well it was definitely a first for me. When was the last time you heard of someone being bitten by a ... frog?
Anyways I should get back to setting up, love to all
Swanks out
