La-de-da! I decided I wanted to drink a bit tonight since I haven't in a LONG time (besides a single beer or glass of wine here and there).... But then I discovered that although I have countless bottles of rum horded away (because I got them on sale in the states), I have no juice. So I am currently drinking coconut rum mixed with about 8 grape Freezies (that were left to me from my ex-ex-roomies from two years ago when they moved - how have they survived this long? [the freezies, not my ex-ex-roomies]). It is surprisingly quite delicious. Yum yum.
So, in recent news.... Hmmm.... Well, I got placed on the paediatrics floor when I went back to school in January. I was very aprehensive, seeing ill and dieing children is definitely not my thing. I love kids. Not around them much, but I love em. The first kid assigned to me? A child that is DNR and whose outlook was bleak - the doctors basically said he had no chance of making it. I almost cried reading his chart. But I have never met a more determined child in my life, and a week later that little booger was fighting me when I went to give him his nebulizer meds! What a monkey!
So paeds is notsobad! I actually enjoy it for the most part.... It is hard hearing about abuse though... It is more mentally draining than other floors I have been on (I find even more so than psych). Oddly enough, my instructor on the paeds floor told me that I would make an awesome psych nurse. Which is an excellent compliment, but I told her it wasn't really my thing.
In other news, it looks like the boy and I have to move again at the end of May. We ended up getting our new upstairs neighbors evicted - they are assholes. Literally stomping around ALL DAY and then, they got my car plowed in. They literally plowed a giant bank of snow behind my car! And when we confronted them they told us it was their ex-girlfriend's boyfriend or some crap that did it... And that they didn't pay him, he did it on his own and it wasn't their fault or responsibility and I should deal with it. BS! Then they called the cops on Alex one night because they were being super loud - he banged on the ceiling, they started jumping upstairs so he went up to ask them to quietdown... They were waiting at the door and told him they had called the cops and that they were filing harrassment charges against him. Thankfully, the police were delightful and our landlords came over ASAP to help us out. Anyway, the last months has been balls in that way!
Hmm.... To see if I can find any interesting photos or something to attach to brighten up this wordy blog...
Oh, I put blue in my hair a bit ago...
But it is gone now, and I ended up dying it all dark red!
This quite possibly the cutest photo taken of my mother's dog. She is really old and started to leak in bed, so they put diapers on her and cut a hole for the tail! Hahaha. She is better now, she is taking estrogen tablets daily so no more leaking!
These photos that make me miss the summer.....
Hahhaaa, colouring in the sun in my Alice in Wonderland colouring book... My cat gets jealous!

Glad you're enjoying the nursing, I couldn't work in paediatrics, far too sad for me.
The picture of your mums dog is hilarious
How have you been? I've not spoken to you in ages!!!!
having shitty neighbors can really suck.
