Yes, yes, I figure that it's time for a new post.
Many belated thanks to all who wished me well on my birthday! My achy shoulder reminds me that I'm getting older...and I love it! Finally, I can be the old coot I've always wanted to be. Additionally, my birthday itself was rather enjoyable in that HolaGatita sprang a few surprises on me, including the surprising lunchtime appearance of former SG member Pastura, visiting from Indiana.
I'd love to be able to tell you what's new and exciting in my world these days, but, alas, tales of replaced cell phones and Excel spreadsheets wouldn't excite even a boring twit like Afterbirth. I will be going to Dallas, Texas this weekend, though. I've never spent any appreciable time there, but my friend Dayton and I never had tickets for a Patriots-Cowboys game before. The weather forecast looks promising as autumn weather has descended on Seattle rather abruptly. I haven't any qualms with frequent rain, but the 24/7 overcast has arrived a tad earlier than I would have liked. Ah, c'est la vie.
I can sing the Canadian and French national anthems in French. Am I impressing you? You know,
La Marseillaise is a terribly violent song, but, ever since it drowned out "Die Wacht am Rhein" in Casablanca, I've been hooked.
The world is much easier when life is black and white. Tell me if you think the following, in the 7th grade vernacular, rule or suck:
* raspberry blintzes
* Black Sabbath
* ATMs
* Hillary Clinton
* The person who posted before you
So what's new in your world? And, oh, yes, I'd better post some naked girls lest I lose the attention of...well, everyone:
