So everyone has their top five songs they want played at their funeral right? Well, damn you Funny People, damn you High Fidelity, and damn you Californication for ruining some of mine.

I'll start off with an obvious one: "Keep Me in Your Heart for A While" by Warren Zevon. When Zevon released this song shortly before his death everyone was like "that's going to be the song played at my funeral!" It was kind of a cliché, but such an amazing song. That was until I saw it used quite prominently in the show Californication and the movie Funny People both in the same year. It's almost like seeing a tattoo that you have on someone else. I will say this though, Californication is still one of my all-time favorite shows.

Another song was "Many Rivers to Cross" by Jimmy Cliff. This one I think I will still use as it wasn't used as prominently in the movie High Fidelity. If any of you have seen the movie, you're familiar with the constant "top five" recurring theme. John Cusack lists the song as one of his top five to be played at his funeral. Dammit. Hopefully by the time I leave this world and head for the one below (and that is where I'm going, I have great seats) some more great ones will come alon.

Unfortunately, if they don't, everyone will be listening to "Baby Got Back" while they send me off.
