i was at the beach tonight and thought of a sea creature i hadn't had in my mind for awhile.
the sea urchin. these phylum echinodermata (a family that includes star fish and sea cucumbers to name a couple) have a mouth on their underbelly and its bony structure is named "aristotle's lantern". if your curious as to why this pecular name was given check out this link.

just when i thought i had found the perfect ocean metaphor in a certain deep sea creature the "prickle skinned" have come back to mind.
