I was in a shooting this past weekend. It was the scariest thing that has happened in my life. One of my best friends was shot and is now recovering. We almost lost him. The other victim was shot in the head and didn't make it. I did a composite sketch for the police the next day. Sunday night a convenience store attendant recognized him from my sketch and called police. When they arrived the suspect immediately ran. They chased him down an alley where he pulled his gun. The police opened fire killing him. This incident reminded me how fragile life is and how crazy this world is becoming. The victim that died was an innocent bystander. My friend was unarmed. It was just a matter of someone going crazy and opening fire on the innocent. I've read stories like this all the time but i never thought I would be in the middle of one. Now I'm just thankful to be alive and thankful my friend is recovering. I just feel terrible for the family of the victim that passed on.
