i haven't written in a while, but there are so many things of late that i just have to get out. this stupid war. our fucking ridiculous president and his greedy little co-conspirators.
don't get me wrong, i support our troops in this matter whole-heartedly, and i don't think that human beings should have to endure something as messy as war. especially when they shouldn't have been sent in the first place.
like most people, my opinion is like a double-edged sword, teetering in any direction. sometimes i think that now, since we're in it, this fight may be the good fight, and actually liberate an oppressed people. but on the other hand, is this just a war that was designed to make cheney and bush more money by letting the iraqi people pay for damages "with their oil supply". i don't know, it just sounds too much like a ploy.
not to mention the fact that this was an illegal invasion! the constitution must not have been able to filter through bush's thick, c- gpa skull. personally, i am deathly afraid of knowing that the leader of our nation has to have his briefings READ to him by his aides. god forbid he put any effort into understanding anything that's going on.
what it all boils down to now, i guess, is get this fucking war over with. take out saddam and his sons, whatever. i just ask that this administration doesn't blow up the entire world. actually, what would be even better, would be to send bush and all of his cronies to fight. since they already spent their youthes dodging military action (and are constantly picking fights...ironic, huh), it might do them some good to suck up some of that former fear.
