Summer Solstice, Family Style!

it was full on, with vegan dinner, kung fu staff training in the street, acro yoga demonstration, and thai massage trades. My brother and sister both came over with their significant others, which is totally rare. I hang with my brother sometimes, but my sister kind of does her own thing (drinking, partying). Some other friends were over, too, including a kung fu master in town from Montana. He is the one in the picture above, watching Veena and I.
Below is a video of him doing his thing to a little Sabbath. Its pretty badass, if you make it through the slow start.

My Weekend in Marin County

I am in marin visitng some old friends who are about to have a baby.
Its really, really, really good to see them.
Its beautiful here.
Hiking, Eating, Deep Conversation, souvenir shopping, all supreme.

That labyrinth is beautiful - where is it? I know you say Marin County, but I'm being too lazy to look up Marin County to see where it is.

Having 'followed' the Dead for a spell, I am familiar with Marin county.

It was named after Cheech, right?

That's an awesome picture of you & Veena.

Sounds like a great Solstice.

Me, I debunked the myth of the Vernal Equinox being special because one can allegedly balance an egg on end then - by balancing one end at 7:59 PM on Summer Solstice.

Of course, I then perpetuated the myth that ALL Solstices and Equinoxes (Equinoces?)are special because one casn balance an egg on end on them.

Of course, it can be done far more often than that, though only on days of the week that end in the letter 'y'
