makes me happy: i can think of lots of things...usually has to do with the opposite sex though
body mods: something like 14 tattoos and a couple piercings still lingering around
i lost my virginity: a long time ago
sign: cancer...but the very last day if that counts for anything
heroes: my dad, my mom, my grandparents, my daughter
into: skateboarding, getting tattooed, drawing and painting, photography (of course), beating my head against the wall out of boredom...you know, the usual
makes me sad: when it rains or its too windy outside
most humbling moment: the birth of my daughter
gets me hot: tattooed girls that i know are bad for me
times flies when you are so damn busy
that you forget which end is up
school is officially done as of two weeks ago
still getting used to the fact that i am not part of the program anymore
even though things look like i might end up working there part time after the fall semster
but i am missing my friends and partners in crime that are still there
the creativity that just wafted around the halls and the studios
the fashion photography class is talking about getting together soon
and doing a weekend long shoot of some kind
keeping my fingers crossed on that one
since finishing school
i landed a job at Texas Highways Magazine
i am the assistant to the photo editor
basically
i handle all the emails, phone calls, and snail mail
follow up with the few photogs we outsource to
do a tiny amount of paperwork about once a month to ensure the outsourced photogs get paid
the rest of the time is spent listening to crazy stories
while doing RGB to CMYK conversions
on this crazy view mode he created in photoshop that mimics the way it will print
which ends up looking so flat and bland
but prints amazingly accurate when we get the specs back from the printer
so strange
some new stuff will be coming soon
putting the final touches on the set i shot with Zen_
and then start whittling down the set i shot recently with Embry while she was in town briefly
in the meantime
i have officially launched my eponymous commercial and editorial site
the full launch will be coming in the next couple of months
my branding is done
the basic architecture for the site is complete
now to do all the coding
and the tweaking
in the mean time
i have all my mailers, both physical and electronic, designed and laid out
so i will be starting to bombard the agencies in the next coming weeks
i hope they enjoy the images ive included on them
i might post some of the mailers on here in the next couple days
after the first round or two have been sent out
