I was actually wondering how things were with you. Keeping up on the cross country skiing?

They're in bad shape. They're fine if we don't care about energy bills, but we do. We also want our windows to not look like shit. Basically, it's something we'll need to do in the next five years, so we'd rather get it done now while I still have the money saved up.

They are damaged (warped, and some rot in a few of them). We can get by, but we want to have windows that actually lock without the lock looking like it's about to pop out of the wood. Trust me, replacing these windows will make a world of difference with the heating bills. Drafts like woah.

An energy audit sounds awesome though.

Yeah, the energy bills aren't our main concern, but lower energy costs would be a nice bonus.

Once we get a house to get an estimate on we'll do the energy audit for sure.

Yeah, we planned on having the tile professionally removed, just to have it out of the house, but I wouldn't have been averse to covering it with flooring. NOT carpet, though. My allergies can't handle carpet.

Ha, well, we're in a duplex, so we still have to do that sort of stuff. Honestly, getting a house wouldn't be much different than our current situation, except we could make changes we want AND we could have whatever schedule works for us.

Yeah I'm staying the fuck away from Old Republic. If I'm going back to school in a few months I can't be addicted to a game with no real end. I plan on trying Skyrim once I move into a house and buy a new TV.
