just watched ponyo, was a bit more kiddy then i expected but was enjoyable nonetheless
oh good lord, this site as changed a bit over the years. i'm having trouble trying to figure out how update my profile and everything. i fail at interwebs
oh my fucking god, i've been sleep for a little over three hours and have less then three hours till i have to pull yet another exciting twelve hours at the compound. one might ask why am i up at after so little sleep? well it mostly because KBR suck balls and decided to change the lock on our door. . . . despite the fact it wasn't broken
arghh, i wish they would hurry the fuck up so i can sleep
granted some of this info is months out of date but ya gotta start somewhere right? anywho, you know how i said our mission had changed? well, it changed again. back to the original mission
which is guarding detainees. on a semi brighter note it's not nearly as bad as imagined it. it is however extremely boring
. 12 hour days are no fun
in a tower it's air conditioned and i'm able to read books (even tho i'm not suspose to
) and the down side the day goes buy slowly. roving is ok except your constantly going in and out of 120+ degree weather relieving towers for breaks (because towers are boring). the downside of being a rover for me is that really bothers my knee with all the stairs one goes up and down and by the end of the is really quite painful for me. the upside is when your roving the day goes by the fastest. the third position (for me that is) is the IRF team (interment reactionary force) they search the detainees whenever they leave/return from medical, visitation, etc. IRF also searches the compound when we do a headcount as the detainees are locked up in the wc/soccer field. the downside of IRF is that when ever they do body searches/compound sweeps it has to be done in about 40 pounds of body armour which is no fun in 120+ weather. on IRF tho some days your really busy and the time just flys however sometimes there is nothing to do and on those days time just drags.
well, i guess that's good for now perhaps i can post more often then every 6 months or so

well, as usual it's been awhile since the last post. anyhow, christmas went well and leave was quite enjoyable even the time with my girlfriend's family
. well, it's looking like our mission has changed in iraq. not really sure what i can post with opsec and what not so i won't really go into details, however i am kinda glad it did change i wasn't looking forward to the other mission.
it's looking like our mob training is almost and we should head over to iraq sometime. honestly i can't wait to get over there and get a more permanent living area. also our internet should be better too since our company is buying it's own satellite to use just for us, so that will be nice
well, it's only 7 more days till i get to go home for christmas leave. really looking forward to spending time with the girlfriend. we have/had alot of fun things planned, the only problem is that she keeps adding more christmas parties that we "have" to go to. first it was just christmas at her dad's place in the morning of the sat after christmas and then christmas at her mom's that same evening. now we have to have christmas at her grandma's the following sun. the only thing is that sun we already had plans. plans that we made weeks ago. not to sound harsh or anything but i don't really care about these people really ( and yes i know how bad that sounds ). i know it's kinda a double standard since she's spending the actual christmas day with me and my family. the way i look at it tho this is last time i will get to see the people i really care about for quite some time and i don't really want to spend that time with people that for all and intents and purposes i don't really know all that well. not to be selfish but it's my last ten days and want to spend it my way
well, after being inactive for a few years i back and i'm currently training in new mexico to go back to iraq. this time as a prison guard
so, so sorry everyone. well the few that read my sporadic journal entries that is. i havn't update in a while 'cause, well i just don't remember to. i've actually been pretty busy lately, sorta. i recently started working again and that has takin up quite a bit of time. then there is of course the computer games that take up the majority of my time. the best bit of news is that i started dating with a girl and that's fun and time consuming as well. i know that doesn't sound like a lot but, i guess i not very good at time management either that or i play entirley to much video games.
