Hey Hey hey,
It's that time of year... what time is that you may be asking yourself? That time where we bring our band ( Late To The Party ) to your town. We are heading out to the West Coast to play a handful of show in L.A., Las Vegas and one other city around there. We 1st start off here in Baltimore MD on Monday March 14th at Bourbon Street for another 98 Rock Noise In The Basement show with Matt Davis. This is gonna be an early show and only cost $5.00. Get there early enough and take part in the drinking for free ( open bar ) from 8pm til 9pm. Check us out the night before on the Radio with Matt Davis as we premier one of our new tunes. The next day we wake up a little to early to get on a plane and fly out to L.A. California. That day and night will be spent hanging around Hollywood drinkin' and eatin' and telling people we meet about our next few upcoming shows. The 1st of our West Coast shows is Wednesday March 16th at the Redwood Bar in L.A. with a great band from Australia called Matt Sonic and the Hight Times, there will also be another band on the bill that we will let you know about later. The next night ( Thursday March 17th ) takes us about 5 or so hours away to Las Vegas to the Shakespear's Pub n' Grill to play and outside stage for St. Patrick's Day with Duncan Fauer ( from the Bay City Rollers ... S-A-T-U-R D-A-Y Night! Hit single fame ) and 2 more bands that I will also mention later. This is a super early show so get there before 4pm for the start of things, it looks like we are 2nd at around 5pm. After an all nighter Las Vegas style we will get back in our rental car and drive another 5 or 6 hours back to L.A. California. That night ( Friday March 18th ) we play out in the Santa Monica area at TRIP with a few bands. This show is $8.00 without flyer and $6.00 with flyer ... ( when I get the flyer I will post it ). And we are still in the middle of working out details for our Saturday March 19th show in the Hollywood area. Then we will have one more night to hang out and then get back on a plane and fly home.

I haven't put anything on here in ages. So here goes..... The Filthy Rotten Sex Machine parted ways with our singer and now Paul, Greg and i have a new band called " Late To The Party " . Paul is still playing bass and singing back ups, Greg still playing drums and now singing even more back ups and I'm singing lead as well as playing guitar. Look out Rock n' Rollers cuz were comin' after you. Bringin' T-Rex to the table and adding some Drive Like Jehu into the mix as well as throwing in a hint of spice with some Danko Jones . Or at least thats what a few of our newest songs reming us of.

We are wrapping up details of another tune ( a new one coming out on our next CD ) " Run Like Hell " possibly being in an MTV Australia production of Shreduction which is what I think may be a snowboarding reality tv show.

Wow... Has it really been like 7 months since I updated a blog? The answer is yes. Well the Filthy are still going and are working on our 2nd cd as I type. We went in 2 months ago and recorded 9 songs and at this time we have 4 more to record and we may redo a few that didn't make the 1st cd. We will be playing all the new tunes out at our next few shows so stop out and check 'em out. We will be at Joe Squared here in Baltimore on Thursday December 10th and then at the Quarter also here in Baltimore ( for the 98 Rock Noise In The Basement show ) on Monday January 4th. The Joe Squared show is a Freebee and the Quarter will cost you just $ 4.98 , Yep just under 5bux for all that Rock on a great stage. Joe Squared has pizza and libations a flowin' and the Quarter has a free bar from 8pm til 9pm.

Soooo... we ( Filthy Rotten Sex machine ) went out a couple weeks ago with our new Bass Player Paul. It was tons of fun and incase you missed us here is where we played. We started off with York PA on Friday February 27th at the Depot with Mumbly Peg ( damn good band and damn good friends of ours ),The Mouning Electra and the Scizmatics ( I think ). Tons of fun for a first show but no merch was sold. What up people, buy the damn cd and a t-shirt. How can you go wrong with a shirt that says Filthy Rotten Sex Machine on the front. Place your orders now and I will hand make you one like I do all of them, oh yeah I gotta find my box of blank shirts first. The next night on Saturday February 28th we played in Philadelphia PA at Connie's Ric Rac with real good friends of mine ( well Pete and I go way back in the days of my first band ) Sioux City Pete and The Beggars. Damn that band is good and they recently added a bass player but unfortunately one of the lady guitarist couldn't come out with them. Also on the bill were the Dead Gerber Babies and Flesh Engine. That night is the reason I need to make new shirts. Those people have the right idea. When you see a band that you like, buy there merch, it supports our fuel bill and we can one day pay back the guy that put out our cd. Thanks Philthadelphia for bringin' it and then takin' it back home with ya'. We then headed up to NYC and get hit by the snow storm. We played Arlene's Grocery with what was a very smartly booked bill. Why have a band like us play with 3 acoustic acts. They were good but why do it that way. I'm sure that NYC has some Rock n' Roll bands that would've played. Anyways, it seemed that the snow kept my friends ( from years past that live outside the city ) stuck at home and not Rockin' it like they should've been. That night there was drinkin', peein' in the snow and fish tailing on side streets to be had by all...and when I say all i mean us. Thanks to dano ( a bud of mine in the stagehand world from MD that now lives in Jersey ) we ate and a few couches to sleep on and he was there to witness the new Filthy Opus. Thanks for gettin' the pics man. After another meat meal we headed out of Jersey to DE for what wasn't a terrible night. We played at Mojo 13 during an open mic night and they " showcased " us. There were some people there and we sold some merch and we Rocked it and then drove back to Baltimore to unload the gear, I was home and asleep by 4thirty am and back up for work the next day in the afternoon. Thats just how I roll.

Here is a super quick update:

The Filthy Rotten Sex Machine have had our cd out since june in it seems to be selling out there on the internet. We are now in the midst of trying out a new bassist. We are looking for a new rehearsal space here in Baltimore that won't have all of us going broke. My girl and I are heading out to shop today as I use another vacation day from work.

So...we have our first cd from my band the Filthy Rotten Sex Machine coming out on June 24th. That is also the day that we will be playing here in Baltimore MD at the Ottobar with King Belvedere, The Bleeding Hearts ( NC ) and The Sex Slaves ( NYC ). Thats gonna be one hell of a Rock n' Roll show right there. We then will be heading down to Heavy Rebel Weekender in Winston-Salem NC on the 4th to check out the other bands but we don't play HRW till 6pm on Saturday the 5th on the Main Stage so if you or your friends are going then stop by and check us out. Then we play in Raleigh NC with the Cheats from PA and the luxury Pushers from OH on the 6th at Slims Downtown. After that it looks like we are coming back home to play the 8th at the Sidebar with the Luxury Pushers again.

Has it really been like 6 months since I updated this thing. Well we ( the Filthy Rotten SEX Machine ) have done a handful of shows and it seems that more and more people show up that actually aren't just our friends. Thats a good thang ya know... We started recording the very first cd and even though I was hoping for it to be done by the end of march I still feel that we are moving right along with it. It's gonna rip hard... We ran into a snag since our engineer went on tour as the sound guy for Bob Mould and somehow it got Lost In Translation of the time that he was going. I didn't hear from him for a few weeks and when I did he was in Atlanta. Oh well, he's back now and we must head forward. He's doing an amazing job with and for us. We did 23 songs and we are gonna release 16 of them on the cd. We are working on the artwork now and have made great headway with t-shirt and belt buckle ideas and cd stuff. So many damn pages in a cd and full color and we want to do it right ya know. Anyways, go check us out on myspace of course...the same link as above incase you over looked it. and be our friend in Rock n' Roll take over. We have a ton of new pics up on the myspace page so check 'em out. We also put up a couple songs and I may add 1 more shortly.
