I know, I know.
I promised myself some time ago that I would stop talking about work on my blog. About how it was boring and that there really is nothing of interest in hearing someone complain about stuff like that. Not that I'm really complaining, or about to complain, really. It's just that lately it's pretty much all I've been doing.
Meanwhile, the pain in the backs of my legs and elbows and back reminds me that I have managed to find some time to do a face plant or two in the snow in the attempt at snowboard mastery...
I'm starting to get the hang of it.
I think.
Just waiting for that one breakthrough moment.
The "level up" where I get to add some points to the attributes of my choosing.
I think I'll put all five points towards "balance" this time.
Maybe one or two to "stopping" would be a good idea too.
I highly doubt there are any Golden Boots of Extreme Air anywhere in my near future though.
Still though, I'm enjoying it.
I've bought all that gear so I'm in to the end now.
Sore muscles be damned.
The pain will be my motivation to keep in shape.
That's where the work thing comes in.
I thought I'd have plenty of extra time this winter to hit the slopes, they put us on four ten hour days last November. I think since then I've only had two Fridays off. This week I'm working overtime Friday AND Saturday... Things picked up, which isn't a bad thing really. Especially the way things are going with so many people out of work and all. I'm certainly not going to complain about that. It would have been nice to actually have had a little extra free time too though. Just a little, to live some. Make the most of it and all that. I don't know if that's going to happen any time soon, the way things are looking.
Guess I'll just have to plow through.
