Stuff is looking up. New job, awesome bf, friends not sucking at life, and my Mom improving a decent amount. Now if I can just get past the PSTD, I'd be set. I'm determined to make this year better than how it started, dammit

Well, dating that dude was an epic fail. Not a fan of anyone who tries to change me, or can't stand my best friend. Whatever man. Now that I'm not being suffocated by a stage one clinger, I can focus more on myself a bit.

One band actually did want me to come back, I just really wasn't feeling it though. I've been talking to a few other bands; hopefully I'll hear back at some point.

Work has been so painfully slow. I'm basically broke as a result. I've been applying at a lot of salons, as well as just places where I could be a receptionist or medical assistant or something. All the places that were interested in me think I live too far away :/ Sooo not a fan of living in bumblefuck. At least I know I'm getting a sweet tax return this year, so I can afford to pay my bills, and (hopefully) go to Foxwoods for my friend's bachelorette party.

April 21 and April 25, I'll be in the Vagina Monologues in East Quogue. For anyone that wants to see me be an angry vagina, feel free to stop by. Or if you just want to buy chocolate vagina lollipops haha. Kinda amped for that, though trying to memorize the script has not been the easiest of tasks. Stupid lack of an attention span!

Aside from that, I've been out and about causing trouble and having a pretty good time with life. Though someone needs to explain why Taco Bell always has a broken fryer when I go there at 2am and want cheesy fiesta potatoes. It's like they're out to get me haha.

So I've been auditioning for bands, and I'm just waiting to hear back and see if anyone wants me. Mostly cover bands and such, but I have the itch to sing so bad, I really don't care if I'm doing original music at the moment.

Work has been interesting. We are down to....three employees...Yeaaaaah. And it's been so slow because of winter, which leaves me kind of broke :/ But we got to do a bridal showcase in the Hamptons yesterday, and that went pretty well. We had a lot of people sign up with us and seemed really interested, so lets hope they book with us!

Okay, and weirdly enough, in my uber fancy salon, this client was talking to me about her son and daughter in law. How her daughter in law is in a band, and was interviewing with VH1. Apparently she's the lead singer of Morningwood. I was like holy shit, that's awesome. Then she goes on and is like, oh yeah, my son is the lead singer of a band too, I don't know if you've ever heard of Mindless Self Indulgence... AHHHH!!!! Celia Euringer, officially my favorite client haha. We spent a good two hours talking about her kids, and music, and a lot of other really random stuff. Maaaaaybe she'll bring him in when he's in town haha. I would probably stand there like an idiot though haha.

Been dating a guy, stuff has been going pretty well. After all the stupid shit that seems to happen to me, I'm just trying to take it slow. Though slow apparently was seven hours in a diner on Valentine's Day with us talking non stop, and having the owner of the diner hang out with us. And a random 70 year old man giving me balloons, which we then tied to other people's cars haha. Alright fine, I admit it, pretty into this guy. Let's just hope for the best and see where it goes.

Also been going on a lot of random road trips and have been involved in a lot of ridiculous shenanigans with my friends haha. Life is pretty good

Thursday Ladies Night with my favorites

So this year has started off to be pretty awesome.

-Got to visit my sister in Florida, and ate epic amounts of Sonic and Dairy Queen
-Got back in touch with one of my really good friends, and we've been partying pretty much every day
-Work is stressful and kicking my ass, but the training is paying off, 'cause I'm becoming a better stylist.
-I'm taking a lot more classes and just trying to work on things I struggle with at work.
-Been meeting a lot of interesting boys (though some have turned out to be fucking crazy...stay away from guys with bunk beds!!)
-Got the most adorable pitbull/rotti puppy...Named her Sookie (Can you tell I watch a lot of Trueblood?)

The best part is that tomorrow I'm going out to record a demo of me singing, and then sending it to a band that's interested in me. YAY!!!! That's pretty much all I've ever wanted. I'm working with an award winning producer, and spending a few hours just working on my sound. If I impress him, he'll put me in a workshop where I can work on my own songs, and just rehearse and get a lot of feedback from other musicians. And hopefully, I can also impress this band. I've been writing a lot more songs lately; I guess I'm finally able to get out all the things I've been dealing with for years.

My friend and I went out last night, got home around 6:30 in the morning. I'm still disappointed that Taco Bell isn't open 24 hours, but thank god for diners man haha. I've honestly been having the most fun lately, I'm glad I've pretty much found myself and I'm living life on my terms now. It's taken me so long to become confident and happy, and it amazes me how much I've grown from where I once was.
