After just a few days, here is part 2 of my previous entry
Dancers are dancers no matter the Genre
In a comment on Part I it was mentioned that i had overlooked the amount of talent required as a stripper or exotic dancer. for this I apologize, it is true that there are a huge variety of variations of Exotic dancer. Some clubs do take any girl that walks in More reputable clubs (for example corporate clubs like any of the Hustler brands) are more discriminatory and do require an audition which can be denied simply because you may not fit the image that the club wants. for example some clubs want to have a Girl Next Door feel, young looking, no tattoos blah blah blah some clubs want a more alternative feel Tattooed, gothic, modern pinup etc.
On the note of the amount of talent required, I do agree that there are many dancers out there who are extremely talented in what they do. and that talent isnt always across the board. Some girls are fantastic DANCERS, thats what they do, they dance, no fancy pole work, they methodically plan out their movement based on the music and convey whatever they feel from the music to their audience. Some girls are pole dancers, meaning the majority of they performance is on the pole! the strength and grace required is amazing!!! some girls lack stage presence but greatly make up for it as private dancers. on the other side of this, you all have to admit that there are some people out there that just really shouldnt be on stage
on the note of whether or not your friends performance was burlesque my apologies. when i think about nudity im more talking about frontal than anything. if her performance is anything like im thinking, then yes it was burlesque. Generally, im sure there are exceptions out there, burlesque is a tease and leaves the goodies to the imagination. so if she was nude, but it was her back turned to the audience then for all intents and purposes her goodies were not shown, hence still being what i consider to be burlesque.
stay tuned for part 3
