OK, so it's been awhile. So I hurt myself. I thinks it was the piriformis which sent pain down my hamstring and now it seems to have migrated to the hip itself. Even the groin seems to hurt a bit. this has been an ongoing problem for about 2-3 months now. I've been doing some stretching but not nearly enough. I have fallen off the wagon hard. So I guess I'll just have to start again slowly and be sure to do the supportive stuff like stretch and maybe yoga to make sure this does not happen again. I guess if getting your shit together was easy then everyone would be just peachy.

I've considered myself graduated from the Couch 25K running program early as I have been running 5Ks now for the last 2 weeks. So woo hoo now I just have to run. My goal now is to get faster. I've also started to make my own bread. It is so easy with the machine and I have a good recipie from Mom. gonna start substituting whole wheat flour for the bread flour a bit at a time and see how it goes. Maybe add some brown sugar for white and maybe honey as well; small changes at a time until I hit on the perfect loaf. I tried making my own yogurt but the first attempt was not succesful. I need to find a way to incubate the stuff at 110 degrees for 8-10 hours. Work is crazy busy. The overtime is much needed. That's it. Have a nice day.

So I just ran my first un-official 5k. 3.3 miles actually in 42:24. That would be my longest run and my fastest as well. And th last mile of which was in the rain. I feel so freakin awesome! And it's only 8 in the morning and I'm just getting warmed up!

Ok. I think my Grams might be haunting the house. About 2 months ago there was a very large thunder and lightning storm. I had closed the door to her bedroom but when I walked past her bedside light was on. By itself. Last night I heard some thunder off in the distance and I then noticed that the same light was on. She was always afraid of storms; scared like a little school girl. These two times I can not explain. Lights do not go on by themselves. I will eventually be moving in to her bedroom or at least want to. If all she's going to do is turn some lights on when we have weather I guess I can deal with that. But if it were me doing the haunting I would do it right and FUCK things up!
On an unrealated note; I weighed myself this morning and am down to under 210 for the first time I can remember.

Week 5 Day 2 is in the books for the Couch to 5K. Day 3 is a 2 mile run. Yikes!!!! I just might do that tomorrow because maybe doing a 2 mile for the first time, on a Monday, before work, just might be trouble. I feel
fan-fucking-tastic! I run slow, about a 13 -14 min. pace but I feel I can do that for distance. And speed will come it it's own damn time. If anyone is on Fitocracy look me up. You know my screen name.

Ran Week 3 Day 1 this morning. It's 200 yds run 200 yds walk then 400 yds run 400 yds walk and repeat. It went pretty good. I'm two weeks into this thing and I'm starting to get the urge to slack off. I have got ot push on thru that. Looking back on week 1 with it's 60 secs of running I though 400 yds were going to be too tough but I did it. I'm happy it's Fri and I have the weekend off. i'm going to get some shit accomplished. Later.

First run done Fri morning and i do mean morning. I got up at 4:30 AM. I wanted to go down the Tow Path (By the Erie Canal) but as it was still dark I didn't feel like falling in so I just ran around the village. Very quiet with no people. it was really good. Not too bad at all. I did run number two this morning. It was cold and raining just a bit but I went anyways. The RunDouble app is cool. Tells you you interval times and you can upload the run and see a map of your path and scroll over your interval and see where on the run you were. Now we are supposed to get a large snow storm on Mon. and my next run is set for Tue. If the roads are clear I'm going. Being just a bit crazy is working for me. I've looked online for some running gear but I will not pay 60 dollars for a t shirt. I'm going to go to the thrift store and pick up some long sleeve shirts and maybe a zippered sweatshirt. I'm not even doing the walmart thing. Go cheap just move your ass.

ATTENTION!! Starting tomorrow I will begin running. I am going to be training the couch25k program. Now there is a 5k race near me on June 16 and this program is a 9 week program which leaves me a week short. But the difference between week 8 and 9 is only 2 minutes of running. Plus this programs says run 3 times a week and I believe I could sqeeze that last week along the next 8. Having said all of that I will not be pushing myself too hard; I want this to be a long term lifestyle change and I don't want any setbacks. I've said it so I guess that means I'll have to do it. That's the way it works, right?

So I did not get a paycheck this week. I have direct deposit but I also get the weekly statement. My boss's wife, who does the paperwork told me that she thought she entered it but she must have forgot to click something. FORGOT TO CLICK SOMETHING!! Word for word. They cut me an actual check that is waiting for me on my desk but it is not a short trip into work (almost 70 miles round trip) Hopefully there is enough money in my account to cover bills until Friday when I can deposit the check. Forgot to click something?! WTF! Other than that, I'm doing well. I have to do laundry and take a shower 'cause clean underoo's are a good thing and I'm fucking stinky...
