It's been a while. I'm all married now. Have a new job, cut all my hair off- now a bob with bangs kinda like Ms. Uma in Pulp Fiction.

Here is a photo of my wedding boots! It was a big fluffy white dress....with kick ass boots underneath. tee hee.

********** HOMER SIMPSON MOMENT ************

So I went to have dinner with some of my family last night. My aunt starts describing this thing that happened to my uncle...

(note: yes, her name is Margie and we call her Marge)

(aslo note: she was laughing so hard when she told us, you could barely understand her)

So Marge decides to throw out the old office chair matt- you know, the clear ones with the teeth on the bottom- and she gets to the top of the basement stairs and tosses it in the dining room and goes back down to get more stuff to toss.

Apparently, when she tossed it, it landed teeth side up!

So along comes my uncle...mind somewhere else...and walks right onto this thing. He said he was like in shock because all of the sudden he felt needle-like stuff in his feet. So he screams (supposedly a bit like a girl) and drops to the ground to get off his feet...only to find that now he has needle-like things sticking in his butt too!!!!!

By this time my aunt had reached the top of the stairs...to find my uncle rolling around on the plastic matt and screaming!!!!

My uncle said he just couldn't figure out what was going on and kept rolling around to stop the pain...but kept getting pricked more!

Oh MY GOD!!! We were laughing so hard that we were all crying and our stomaches were hurting!!!

Now...my uncle is a very smart and with it kinda guy...so the thought of him rolling around on a chair matt screaming in front of my aunt is about the funniest visual image I have had in a long time!!!

Ah....I am laughing now just thinking about it!!!

Ok...so I had an apartment sale yesterday and it went really well. Almost everything is gone! Now I have all this lovely space...and a whole month to pack! woohoo!

I decided to make the living room my bedroom for a while so I could use my bedroom to store the packing shit and be able to close the door and still feel like I am not living amoungst boxes.

I brought out the blow up mattress and pumped it up. Slapped it right in the middle of my living room! Plugged in the TV and rented some movies for the night. If you look closely, you can see remnants of my Michael's Hot Dogs order! ;-)

I also popped open the my trunk that is filled with some of my old stuff. I found some of my (greatly loved) stuffed animals from when I was little.

Here is a picture of "Bunny" (the brown dog) and "Dino" (the turtle)...they were married in an elaborate ceremony! You can see where I colored Bunny's eyes with purple marker. I had ripped them out because I was mad at my mom one day...so I just colored them in. I was about 5. I used to carry dino around by the neck so it doesn't have any stuffing left. Note that HIS eye is also ripped out. blush And... I had a fixation one week with transvestites after I went with my mom to Polk street one day...so I took lipstick and put lips on Dino...deciding that he was a transvestite! biggrin

And last photo of the day...Sam...my freaky german shepard stuffed animal with the plastic face! I LOVE this guy!

Rapture???

I guess that would be getting in your car when it is only 24 degrees outside and finding that your door won't close....driving almost all the way home trying to hold it shut when the wind is trying to blow it open...and having the mechanism suddenly work and latch the way it should 2 blocks from your house so you can go in and turn on the heater and get warm and know that your car door isn't open for the night! *sigh*

Just got back from SF! Icky delay in Dallas. The plane had electronic issues and they had to pull it from service. Though....I would rather have them do that and get us another plane than die! tongue I hate flying.

Very fun weekend!

Did touristy stuff....went to Japanese Tea Garden for tea and saw this spider:

Walked around downtown so I could take pictures of buildings. This is one of my favorites in the city:

Walked to North Beach and down Grant through Chinatown:

Got yelled at....by the coast guard...on land! How does one do that??? Easy, simply drive around Treasure Island until you find a little road that takes you UNDER the Bay Bridge....drive as far as you can until you reach the entrance gate to the coast guard station...jump out of your car and start taking pictures of the under side of the bridge in front of them. In just a few short moments you will hear a loud beeping noise and a man's voice over a blow horn saying something unrecognizable. At that point...you just smile and give them a good "oh I'm sorry mister coast guard man wave" ....and drive away!

Even though it was my boy's birthday weekend...he gave me an early christmas present. He had this doll specially made for me. It's a long story...but what a charming doll! So fucking cute:

Oh....and my boy "officially" asked me to marry him at the Cliff House overlooking the beach and gave me his grandmother's ring! It is such a sweat little ring:

...and in just a month and a half I will be back living in my beautiful bay area...place where I was born...and where my boy is waiting for me!

I saw this post on another board. It was so sweet! Then I got just a bit sad at the thought that the person they were talking about didn't get to hear these words.

***Call to action...tell someone, anyone, this week something nice that you think of them, what they mean to you, or something that falls within those lines.

You don't have to post here exactly what you said or who you said it to if you don't want. But let us know that you did it and maybe what the jist of it was. Here is the post:

"After all of these years, it was so good to see you. You look absolutely beautiful. I cried a little after we parted this morning at Clark and Lake. I wish I would have had time to tell you thanks for helping to shape me into the person I am today, for being so good to my uncle (to this day I haven't seen him as happy as he was with you). You were so good to my family. We all loved you. I have nothing but good memories of you and even though it's been a while I will still think of you as family. I hope we run into each other more often so we can catch up."
