Been very busy lately...
Promotion at work, currently training in my new position. If you must drink vodka (and I know we all must!) please drink Smirnoff, I have a hand in making it! (that or Skyy, we do that too!)
Moved into a nice house! Two of my best friends have moved in with me. Good times have already begun. Have done alot of work fixing the place up, still some left to do.
Can't wait for August 22nd! Twisted Sister (I know I'm a huge geek, but they were fun!) is playing in Northern iowa and I'm growing out a mullett right now for the occasion. I will sport it for the day of the show in homage to the glorious 80's hair band gods! I'm so excited!
Plus if you have ever played the origional Legend of Zelda then you should check out a great parody of the game in the Legend of Neil webisodes! Funny stuff!
That and I leave you with my favorite thing to look up now. Misheard Lyrics videos on youtube. The best by far is Pearl Jam's Yellow Ledbetter

Argh, a full seven days off of work and now I start my seven day stint of nights! not looking forward to it...
Surgery was a huge success! My daughter is recovering great. Thanks to all who have offered prayers, thoughts and love. It has meant the world to me that was offered!
My daughter's surgery is in a few hours... 7am central time... I can't sleep... haven't slept for two days... I can't wait for this to be over...
SO.. The other day when my furnace went out... find out that it wasn't my furnace's fault... I live in a trailer court (classy I know...) and the lot lord's gas meter broke and we were all without gas for awhile. I was the first to call and he made me get a furnace repairman out for mine sayinf that there was no way it could have been his fault. Ends up it was, now I'm out $65 to have a repairman make an emergency house call! He better deduct that from next months lot rent!
Now, I'm increasingly getting more nervous every day. My daughter has a condition called Trigonocephaly and tomorrow we have a pre-operation appointment with the surgeons who will correct this. Success rates are incredibly high with this procedure, and these are the surgeons that invented the surgery 20 some years ago so that makes one feel somewhat better, but there is always that feeling of doubt... This is the first of two pre-op appointments, and the surgery is Feb. 27... So as the days tick down I have become much more anxious, nervous, etc... about the whole deal.
See the surgery sounds insane. They will actually remove the front part of her skull from her forehead, reshape it properly, then reinsert it back in. This way the brain will have enough room to grow properly. I have to have some faith that these guys will do their jobs well!
Anyways, I thought it mught help if I typed all this out. I'm not one for talking about my problems much.

Where is the "my left testicle is frozen to my thigh" smiley?
how fucking awesome!
Coldest day here in 30 yeears and my furnace decides to take a shit on me! Luckily I have some space heaters to keep me from actually freezing... Repair guy won't be able to arrive for a couple of hours. Atleast he'll be here today!
Hope everyone is keeping warm.

Most of my life I have felt very young, the last few months I felt I have aged by a decade! Six months ago I would be out every night drinking and being wild and crazy! Now whenever I have time off of work all i want to do is stay home and relax. So weird, never been like this before.
Last night I bought season one of the Venture Brothers and watched the whole thing. I love that show...
