Get up this morning 4 am CDT) to frozen pipes. Even though I have a heater on the spirket. But I guess being _-24 F (feels like -55 F ( -48 C) is t0o much for it. I unplugged and plugged it back in in hope it helps. I have to work today but I can't leave the kids alone with the way the pipes are, so crossing everything it kicks by seven.
My car did start and let it run for 30 mins. At least I got that going for me. So, once the hardware stores open, I can go get another heater. Unless the water runs before, I have work.
I don't mind living here. Just dislike winters here.
I am hoping everyone that is in this artic blast is doing well and staying warm. Knock on wood, our house is still warm.

We are getting a winter storm here which means snow but the temperature will not be too bad

My Dad used to have to fix our frozen split pipes every winter in Montana. Now he lives in the desert in the winter. He also had to drive an hour to the only nearby store that had the correct parts. He feels your pain.
