Is there a way to prevent something like this? I don't think so. It's like...if someone wants to:
- get a gun
- go to a public place and start shooting
....how can they be stopped? If you make owning a handgun illegal, then people will just break the law to get them. Plenty of people do that now. I just don't know.
My friends who live in Israel say "we don't worry about suicide bombers, because they *want* us to stop living. We won't change our lives because someone might blow themselves up, then they'd win." Good point.

In other news, I don't know why I like that Geico gecko so much. The accent's just so cute! So he hated Geico at first, then he was employee of the month, and now he's their spokes-lizard.

I really don't see the attraction in playing for a cover band...unless that's your job. But, to get psyched up and form a band for the purpose of playing covers? How can you get up there and feel good about playing someone else's songs?

I think our nation is becoming used to poorer and poorer audio quality. Just about everyone I know who has a cheap-ass free cellphone sounds like ass when you talk to them. Low-fi mp3 rips are getting us used to bad-sounding music.
I don't get to do this often enough, but last night I saw an orchestra (Philadelphia if you care). It gave me the biggest eargasm; like eating a steak, french fries and spinach...rich, thick sound coming from a well-tuned hall. Music the way it was meant to be heard.
Last week, I talked on a landline to someone else on a landline. Sounded like butter, it was so magnificent in its own way.
In other news, I've about had it with the cold. Ready for spring right now.
