Yesterday, should have been shits and giggles but my date was a social bore.
Greg invited me out for a night of sushi with some friendly coworkers; Jen and Tasha. He was already dating Tasha an decided to play the matchmaker with his friend Jen, which I had previously meet at a club. Of course, I am like sure I will try to be an awesome guest. I didn’t make any preconceptions I knew it could go either way. Since he knew them both and the two were friends to begin with. I thought I’d have a better introduction. Unfortunately, it was modernly fast and immature. Supposedly, prior to our us meeting at some club. I remember, it was DayGlow Tour, an awesome night of dancing in paint. But since I was there only for myself, that wasn’t what I considered an introduction. I'd say that's not practically a official meeting either, because actually you don't get to know someone at a club, you see they’re at a club, entirely different concepts.
I don't really want to divulge on how ridiculous the night was, but I have to. First it was the outfit, she wore a black t-shirt with a pink dragon on the front with a long pink button up coat sweater that dropped to her knees, and beige cargo pants that flapped at the ends. It was horrible, my cousin's date was totally prepared for the night and she was in a sort of black and white school girl outfit. I tried not to make any compliments on Tasha’s outfit, because more importantly I was there for Jen, and in honesty, I didn't have anything interesting to say for her outfit.
When we sat to eat she totally cut me off and began socializing about work. At some point I would blurt something random to get off the subject. I wanted to tell her she was an awful date, and that she tried to remain in her comfort zone the whole entire time.
I'm being picky...I know I am, but really? Shrimp sauce and sushi? I devour rice and chicken with shrimp sauce, but with sushi? nooo way! I wanted to show...

I wanted to show some little etiquette to make it sensual or a bit romantic, but I didn’t want to seem overly prude, which I felt like eating a McDonalds in a Cathedral, total iconoclasm by extreme of any sensual attraction. I was least pleased to notice other women and how I felt too old around her. I wanted to join the group of women instead, but Greg was paying my tab so I felt obligated to keep her company.
We went to the beach afterwards an idea my date suggested, “Oh great!” Not really dressed for it, but it could get worse. I thought it be a nice idea, to play the game lets swap passengers on the way there. Since Greg and Tasha were mingling earlier, I’d figured this may give my so called date and I some time to converse. Not so good at first, she was so concerned about Greg and Tasha getting lost. I was not going to even bother trying to be interested, but I said to myself just have fun. Later in the night, nothing at all ended up going as planned. What started from going to the beach, then going to two bars later, and then her suggesting a bonfire, which she backed down on all of them. As a group we all dedicated to the ideas, I think it was just over from that point. She wanted to go home and I wanted to mingle at the bars a little. Overall, not a pleasant date.
