Talk Like a Pirate day is over, so I'm returning to normal, modern English and changing up the faves again. This time it's doubled-up consonant vowel combos... and Juliana.
I'm a little bit surprised at how poorly I've been readjusting to PDT. I'm a morning person, so getting up is usually quite easy for me. In fact, I have a clock for a brain. When I set my alarm, I invariably wake up a minute or two before it goes off. And now jetlag-time has become the variable. I just can't wake up effectively these days. Opening the blinds a bit more to let more natural light into the room in the morning helped, but I still have to drag myself out of bed. I far prefer my usual wide awake right away routine.
The downside to being a morning person who sleeps with a non-morning person is it's just so damn boring. I wake up and... nothing. No response. If you get up and start your day withour her, she feels abandoned. If you stay in bed, it's dullsville. I suppose I could harass her in all sorts of fun ways, but not every morning. And rejection's a certainty from someone who's in a bad mood BEFORE they're awake.
Oh well. At least I've got Eutychus. She was whistling at me this morning to get up and get her out of bed. And now she's trying desperately to get at my coffee. Never! MY coffee!
