Actually Fireworks is my all time fave by him, and it has Yakuza - but he plays a cop in that one. One minute serene, hauntingly beautiful and sentimental - the next, extremely violent. A masterpiece!

Man, Carlito's Way is the best! My favorite gangster movie is Goodfellas - a true classic. Another good one is Bugsy Malone. The (adult) characters are all played by little kids including a young Scott Baio and young Jodie Foster. And their guns shoot ice cream instead of bullets! Hahah it's genius.
