It's early, I'm sick, and I've only gotten a few hours of sleep. But that's ok, I should be up. I've got a lot of work to do if I'm going to move down to New York this weekend. A lot has happened since my last entry here. All that stuff is documented in other media, mostly in my Moleskine. The jist is, I'm moving down to Queens and starting 'school' again.. Really, I'm just going for my sound design certification, but I'm also more than likely being hooked up with a well paying [$25/hr] industry-ish job.. Either way, I'm going to be getting a lot of experience using ProTools.. school of life, baby.
Yes, nothing's happened towards any recording of my own music, yet. But I have a feeling being surrounded by the technology and holed up in a wintry NYC apartment will help change that, especially if I sell my computer and get a simple 4-track. I bought all this fancy equipment for home studio recording, and I can't even get it to work right.. It's USB shit, though, and PCs are notoriously pretty janky...
I want to get my lip pierced again when I'm down there, and get my quarter-sleeve one step closer.. who knows, monatarily wise, though... who knows.
Alright, later.
