It is my opinion that huge American cities like Chicago and Boston and New York face major problems. Crime. Poor education. Little urban development. Poverty, which has increased steadily under President Obama, though you will never hear about it.
Many cities, however, have taken a bold step forward by not allowing Chick-fil-A to open franchises.
YEAH, MAN, YEAH! NO CHICKEN SANDWICHES! NOW EVERYTHING IS ALL RIGHT! OUR CITY IE PERFECT NOW!
That is correct, many mayors of large cities went out of thier way and abused thier power to make sure that no Chick-fil-As will ever open there.
You have probably heard about this. Chick-fil-A discriminates against homosexuals.
They will not serve homosexuals. Oh, wait, that is not true. They will serve anyone with a couple of bucks.
Wait, they will not employ homosexuals. No, that is true, either. Employment discrimination based on sexual orientation is expressly prohibited.
Actually, it is the owner of Chick-fil-A who discriminates. Close, but no Monte Cristo #2 Habana for you. Teh president, not the owner, Dan Cathy has given money to organizations that oppose gay marriage. Cathy himself recently spoke in opposition. His father started the company, and the money for non profit groups comes from the Cathy Family Foundation.
Chicago Mayor and all around asshole Rahm Emmanuel will not let a Chick-fil-A locate in Chicago. This is legally and morally wrong because it is discrimination against belief. A mayor should not tell a business he cannot open because he disagrees with thier positions. Nor, as I will explain below, will it hurt Cathy.
A boycott, however, is legitimate. You can boycott anything for any reason. In DC, I boycott Chick-fil-A because it is to far away. In Irving, where I am now, a tend to boycott Chick-fil-A because near by it is a McDonald's, Wendy's, In 'n Out, P, Subway and several other sandwich shops, and Five Guys, all of which I would rather eat at the Chick-fil-A.
Dan Cathy, however, does not own that restaurant, though. If have no idea whether Cathy owns a single Chick-fil-A. You pay a franchise fee. After that, you have nothing to do with Cathy. You do not buy anything from him, you buy from the Chick-fil-A supply store. None of which are owned by Cathy. If you boycott Chick-fil-A, you hurt the owner and the employees, many who might agree and passionately support some of your causes.
If you want to oppose Cathy, or anyone, get involved. March in the streets. Attend a demonstration. I may not be with your cause, but a guananfuckingty that I am with you in activism.
You must beleive the good guys will win, eventually. You must believe that right makes might, and not the other way around. Because if you do not, you will cease to care.
And then the good guys, however you define them, will roundly be defeated.
Let me add two caveats. First, if you know me, you read my blog, you know that I live with a lesbian couple. The fourth member of the household, my girlfriend, is actively bisexual. Clearly, I am not biased. Second, I am really hungry right now.

x0!
I mean, we are talking about a country with more anti-Catholic groups and clubs than ACTUAL Catholics before the diaspora.
They gave them a pass to play Brechin, which they had to win in extra time with a goal from that thug Lee McCulloch. 2-1.
They may still be proper fucked, a lot of things depend on many other things. You can't relegate from D3, you can only kick them out of the league, it's not the same like everywhere else. The SFL is the set up from the SPL through D3. You have to apply to get into D3, which there are many clubs more deserving to do so, but have been preempted for Newco.
The SPL has actually had tickets go up for most clubs, so it's been fine so far. Granted, success on the biggest stage for Celtic will only happen in two ways -- Some oligarch buying them or a super league or joining in a UK league of sorts.
