ok
10:19 AM Saturday morning and I'm awake. Not because I woke up but because I havent gone to sleep. That by itself really isn't that bad. But I'm mentally trained because from 8:30 Fri to about 6:30 this morning I was working. Mind you not always keeping my nose to grindstone though, I had a 2 hour break were my friend/coworker and I went for a beer and some food. We did manage to start making progress on some of the challenges we're faced with right now.
More intrestingly last night, rather Thursday night I was at the Tool concert which was every bit as amazing as I had hoped. Oddly enough they didn't play an encore, the band huddled together after the last song and I guess they made the decision to leave the stage. I wonder if they were being conservative seeing as how the show would have been in March had it not been for the injury the drummer sustained to his arm. Whatever the case, I was more than glad to see them a fourth time. I was happy with the seats except the bass level was super high. The visuals were psychedellic and intense, the lasers were really cool and peaked at the back-top of venu right above our seats. The surface of the steel girders appeared to glow/radiate/burn (the burning looked like film melting from the heat of a projector) when the lasers were shining on them. I don't think I've seen the tail end of a laser that powerful, so close to where I was. Neat. The white acrylic looking stage was a genious idea. When the band was playing Vicarious at the end of the set I was thinking about the different graphics and CG sequences that were used in the show, and I thought that Chet Zar's "The Administrators" would be a good fit for the song, plus its my fave. I started to wonder why I hadn't been used yet in any of the shows and as the screen quickly faded...

The puppies seem to be doing well, after a very long and trying week. They were due yesterday but were born this past Sunday. Chloe carried five but one was still born. Because they were premature they hadn't fully developed their suck reflex and other important functions. Despite constant vigils frequent trips to the vet we lost one puppy on Monday. They just would not / could not eat, so they continued to lose weight and we lost a third puppy on Tuesday. Everybody was hit hard emotionally. But thankfully by Thursday morning their weight had begun to stabalize and now the remaining two, known as #1 and #4 are gaining weight like they should.
11:16 Time to go to sleep hopefully I won't sleep for too long so I don't wreck any hope of a decent sleep pattern next week. That'll wrap up my first new post having returned to SG.
