Yesterday was a tough day. Had a friend die yesterday. Met her in "treatment" for a substance abuse problem some time ago. Made a really good friend, beautiful girl, good photographer but a nasty heroin habit. She finally over dosed. Made quite an impact on my psyche. Realized I need to get harder to work so I can help others. She wouldn't have had a chance without the people who tried to help her. She became closer to her family before she died because of it. That's something right? This disease is constantly working in the background to take those of us inflicted down. Well, she is at rest and in a better place.
