Grrrrrr I just cannot seem to concentrate on anything lately!
Last week I started my first week back in school after taking 9 months off for health reasons, and now I feel so unbelievably rusty. I absolutely adore books, but every time I try to sit down and read, my head begins to ache and I get frustrated and go look at nude girls on the internet or shoe shop instead. Even during class when my professors are speaking, as interesting as the subject may be, I find that my mind always starts to wander. I miss entire lessons because my head is somewhere else. This truly saddens me. I am so fortunate to be in school...I do not want to abuse this privilege.
I'm afraid that if I let myself fall behind, I will remain behind for the rest of the semester. Sigh...me and my lovely black-and-white-thinking...

It takes some time for things to work out. A year ago, I left my master's program because I was just burnt out on everything. After taking some time away, I got into a different program and it was hard to adjust at first. It takes time. It may be slow, but remain patient. Everyone needs to take breaks to keep from getting stressed out. I know I spend more time playing video games or guitar than I do on most assignments, but it makes me feel good so I can go into things with a fresh and clear mind.
