Tomorrow I am going to a preview screening of Anvil! The Story of Anvil with a Q&A with Anvil afterwards... Hurrah!

I got snowed off work today... Got to the station at half 6 this morning, tracks completely covered, no trains, no buses, no anything... It's been snowing virtually all day, still snowing now... There hasn't been this much snow in London I can remember since 1991...

Now is when I really wish I had my own snowboard... And a big slope nearby...

It's supposedly going to snow even more overnight...

Less than a week before I go snowboarding for Christmas and I've lost my snowboarding jacket... Lost it in a bar on Friday night, went back there to see if it had been found or handed in, but no, which basically means someone nicked it... Of course it's far too difficult to hand something like that to the staff, someone has to be a thieving wanker... This now means I have to buy a new jacket by Wednesday, which is going to royally screw things over...

Far from the end of the world, I know, but this has seriously pissed me off...

This week = stress, stress, stress, madness, stress, and will end up with lashings of booze... Damn you, Soho...

I have the whole week off before I start my new job next Monday, but have nothing to do (except The Mars Volta on Wednesday) and am rather skint...

Bummer.

I'm off to Guilfest tomorrow and Sunday as my brother has got free entry +1... We're not doing Saturday because IRON MAIDEN are playing Twickenham!... Alas the continuation of them having terrible support bands continues (Avenged Sevenfold, Within Temptation) unlike Slayer and Entombed the first time I saw them... But two days of free festival certainly isn't bad...

Inspired by some tomfoolery in Chicago...

I got back from Chicago yesterday... It was properly awesome and I'd quite happily rather still be there than back here... But I managed to get some new snowboarding goggles for about $50, and Jolly Ranchers which are no longer sold in England (BASTARDS!), a couple of Sealab 2021 dvds (which also are unavailable here) and a bottle of George Dickel, which is the best whisky ever, and also virtually impossible to get hold of in Blighty...

Apparently Johnny Depp was filming something outside/around our hotel the whole week... Never saw him...

The flight on the way back took off with an amazing sunset, then I watched it rise a few hours later over Greenland... Shame I always seem to get sat behind douchebags on flights...

I'm going to Chicago tomorrow...
