I was treated to a very private viewing of the new horror flick Laid To Rest courtesy of SG's buddies at the Almost Human special effects house. It was an intimate affair, just me, my hubby, a Terminator and a dead granny in an open coffin. (There were also various supernatural beings and mutilated bodies from Buffy, Angel and Pineapple Express, among others, lying around the offices and workshops the night of our visit.
For once, The Terminator didn't need to kill Sarah Conor, since Laid to Rest's yuppified bogeyman ChromeSkull took care of business, laying Chronicles star Lena Headey to rest in a suitably blood-curdling way. The slash happy film also stars Headey's Chronicles son, Thomas Dekker (John Connor), and Bobbie Sue Luther (Night of the Demons and Made In Romania).
Laid To Rest will hit a DVD store near you on April 21st. In the meantime, look out for our upcoming interview with Lena Headey, hit ChromeSkull's MySpace page for more info on the film, and meet SG's new Almost Human editorial intern (pictured above), who followed us home after the screening last night.
