age: 33 (Feb 13, 1979)

MEMBER SINCE: October 2009

occupation: Theatrical Engineer/Stage Manager

crush: Delores :)

fantasy: Hmm... so many... have to get back to you on that.

i lost my virginity: In the most boring of ways: In a Buick ditching class.

heroes: Adam Savage, Harrison Ford, (both theatrical designers and performers in their own rights), JRR Tolkien, Dirk Gently

into: Vintage and Modern Vespas, Theater design and performance, firearms, Sci-Fi, Firefly, Democratic Socalism, Pawn shops and Thrift Stores, Fusion Jazz, Politi-Punk, Ska, Russian litterature, DIY ethics, chubby/thicker girls (and I mean that in a totally endearing way...please no flamemail*grins and hides*), Mod culture, Ikea, Fried fish, Cheap pizza, expensive Vodka, BMW motorbikes

gets me hot: Bigger girls (but not *too* big...curvy/chubby/bouncy..yum), A cleanly restored '61 GS150 Vespa, the idea of a female Soviet sniper,

most humbling moment: Losing my job as a Technical Director at a major university because I just couldn't "understand" the politics of being a College faculty member and why I couldn't just build shows, like I was originally hired to do.

Well, rent was made... but I had to sell my laptop to do it frown It was the computer Delores bought me when my netbook died, and I wasn't thrilled with the thought of being without a computer. On top of all of this, the Wagon is beginning to lose power and vibrate more and more severely. I am pretty sure it's a combination of a bad catalytic converter and the series of bad sensors fried because of the lack of backpressure in the system. It's been one hit after another, but there was a bit of a surprise today:

My future mother-in-law said she had gained an "extra" computer from some family during a trip to Chicago. She wasn't clear on what kind of laptop it was, only that it was gained by some strange internet scheme that her brother had got involved with and ended up getting nearly burned, and all he had left from the entire event were a few of these laptops. She wasn't clear on what kind it was, only the brand. She couldn't even remember the size or ANY of the specs or model numbers other than it was an Ideapad... and it was often times right under her nose! Anyways, I figured that if it did actually happen, we'd get the computer months from now after she got bored with it or what not. But, upon hearing that I had to sell my personal computer to make ends meet, she offered us to pick it up today. And, when I finally got it I was *very* surprised! I was expecting either an old model computer with a pirated copy of windows 7 or XP, or a netbook. Now, any computer gifted to us is a blessing and I will not turn it awya... but ...

What we DID get was a Dual-Core Lenovo Ideapad U350 !! While not the most powerful of computers, it was a dual core chip, 320gig HD, Windows 7 Premium and a whole host of neat little features along with an 8 hour battery... for free!!! It's a very nice machine, and I'm quite pleased with itsmile

The thing that bugs me is that I have yet to get a nice birthday present for Delores,...
