Is sick frown
Figures the weather warms up an I'm not well.
This cabin fever is going to be my misery for a while. Upside, I can catch up on a few episodes of fringe and finally watch King of nerds uninterrupted.

Walk around town is just going to have to wait till tomorrow. *sigh*

Wednesday

Wednesday's child is full of woe...not this one!

On February 20, 1985, a coalition of the Fine Gael and Labour parties led by Dr. Garret FitzGerald defeated the opposition of the conservative Fianna Fail party by an 83-80 vote. The new legislation made non-medical contraceptives (condoms and spermicides) available without prescriptions to people over 18 at pharmacies; it also allowed for the distribution of...

I was just discussing the destructive and punitive entity that is the CC a few days ago. I guess with the resignation of Big Joe 'Hilter Youth' Ratzinger. Now I'm no lover of the CC. To me it's the batard son of Christianity and Roman Paganism. The church is no stranger to unspeakable violence and oppression. It's ok to kill half the worlds' population with war, resulting famine and pestilence but putting a rubber on your Jonny is a mortal sin?! Yes I'm always cheered by stories of this evil empires' decline. Lets celebrate by fornicating with a French letter. Oui oui!

Bacon it's the perfect gift for every occasion. You just don't get the same passion with sardines or chicken loaf.
mythuselah:
Chicken Loaf...who on earth eats that!?!
At least bacon is 100% fat and meat! No disputes (unless its that vegan bacon then well 100% guaranteed tofu)

You are correct though bacon is a fantastic gift!

Library day tomorrow!

Dunno what I'm going ta get. Any suggestion?

deucomatic:
Are you adverse to modern takes on old genres? If you want a smart read, good sci-fi/fantasy chops and a fucking great belly laugh, I can suggest Jasper Fforde. The Erye Affair, about a fiction jumping agent bent on apprehending a heinous foe who kidnaps the main character of a classic novel, or Shades of Grey (not the mommy porn 50 shades), a future dystopia ruled by a colourtocracy where not having your tie in the appropriate Windsor knot or wearing non regulation socks could see you sent to 'reboot camp'. A place where due to a typo in the religious texts spoons are banned from manufacture by law.

I most certainly did not! Did not! Absolutely did not loose the beagle in the 3ft of snow in the back yard. She jumped in willingly. Silly animals, playing in snow.

Friends and I spent the night recalling when we were kids and we used to build forts, bury each other and just have a good ol fashion snowball fight. Now, we pack the kids...

Yes magnesium is a wonderful element with an abundance of practical applications. It's also my mineral of the week. If you only read about one strong yet lightwieght metal this year make it magnesium. Great choice of tv shows, Sanctuary S3, Firefly, oh Lordy, I'm just going to stop now because it angries up the blood and makes me sad all at once. I so wanted to see more adventures of that lovable yet morally ambivalent crew . *shakes fist* There's alot of tv I need to catch up on. I'm glad you have Wagon Wheels. Ain't soap the ducks guts? They turn basic hygiene into an event.
mythuselah:
Now there's a sport I'd watch in the summer Olympics.

I can't believe they cancelled some of these shows. They are fab! I can't get into Caprica! But I discovered a gem of a Fox network show staring my teen crush Christian Slater. ( and its host a plethora of Star Wars and dr Whovian fandom) I guess if all else fails and TV goes further down the rabbit hole I can ressurect red dwarf.

I will have to contradict your periodic element of choice though although magnesium has many practical applications, sulphor is my element of choice. It's medical applications are abundant and itis a reducing agent for most metals. Sulphor can be weaponized in its natural state, and because of its properties apply flint and voila, even Prometheus himself would forget his one true love and his quest for her heart.
