I can't believe how long it's been since I posted something. I've been busy, I guess.

The new album is finished. Hopefully we'll have release info soon. We recorded with John Congleton, who has done records for the likes of Explosions In The Sky, Black Mountain, and St. Vincent. It sounds really fucking cool. I'm really excited to get it into everybody's hands and earballs.

We have some tour dates coming up that include Canada and our first trip to Australia. We are so excited to finally go down under.

Okay, we are allowed to announce it now. The new Murder By Death album "Good Morning, Magpie" will be released on April 6th on Vagrant Records. There are definitely a few curveballs on this one, but we think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

epic hangover today. woo hoo.

we are writing album number five. so far so good. it's gonna be interesting. we record in bloomington in december. this will be the first time we have recorded at home. looking forward to it even though i know i will be stir-crazy very soon. on the other hand, it will be nice to not feel rushed, so there's that.

not much else to report at the moment. collecting gear for the studio and more girl-crazy than i've been in a while.

hey gang. so we've been out on tour for about a month with gaslight anthem and the loved ones and frank turner (for most of it) and ninja gun (for some of it). everyone on the tour is such a cool person. this is what we like to call a PRICK FREE TOUR. everyone gets along and helps each other out. it's really an amazing thing to have 100% badassery on the road.

for those in the nyc area that are planning on coming out to the shows, there will be drop boxes at terminal 5 to benefit the nyc food bank. you can check gaslight's site or the blog on murder by death's myspace for details. in a nutshell, bring some non-perishable food to the terminal 5 show if you can and we'll give you big fat sloppy kisses. or a high five. whatever you're into. we can talk.

it was nice to see milloux at two of the california shows. she is a real sweetheart. go show her some love if you haven't already done so. you want that girl on your side.

hope to see some more of you on tour. we get back home just before halloween and then begin to write the new album. pumped to work on some new songs. hopefully they rule. we shall see...

okay, so it's been a while....

so what's been going on? shit loads of touring. we just got back from a week in greece last night, and are leaving tuesday morning for about two months opening for the gaslight anthem. should be a good time, as long as the airline gets us our pedal boards and dirty laundry that they have "misplaced." mbd vs. air travel: the battle rages on.

the studio has been really amazing. we're done with the recording part of the new record. we're leaving TN tonight or tomorrow to do some shows, and then we'll be back in nashville to mix the album. fuck yeah.
