due to the fact i never use the site anymore, don't really have any desire to write about what i'm up to every 5 minutes, and am being affected (like everyone) by the state of the economy, summat had to go.
i never thought i'd end up leaving SG, but after 5+ long years, the time has come.
i joined for the boobs - i stayed for the community - but as time went by, i was just staying for the boobs again. and to be honest, its just rubbish waiting for the next Chloe set to go up...
i may come back for the filth at a later date, but in the meantime, you can catch me on Facebook, Myspace and Last.fm.

as of the last few weeks i've noticed a change. i can now get back into some of my small tshirts, and my trousers are no longer horrendously tight. i actually have a pair i can pull down round my ankles while they are done up (i don;t do this in public though).

DE are one of my fave bands, and we supported them three times this year. each gig was cracking, but this was my fave. we got on pretty well with them too, and hung out quite a lot. ace chaps.
Dauntless Elite/Shitty Limits/Blotto – Kingston Fighting Cocks 12/07/08
Dauntless are a great little DIY punk band from Leeds, who really pulled all the stops out at this gig. big anthemic singalongs, never seen such a small crowd go off in such a big way. Supported by Blotto (japanese punk band) and Shitty Limits, who tried their hardest to blow Dauntless away, but couldn't quite manage it.
THIS HAPPENED IN 2008...
- finished my mermaid tatt on my thigh, thanks Jo!
- did loads of gigs with the band
- recorded 8 track demo CD in march
- came off the silly tablets
- went amsterdam in April with 6 of my mates, and broke myself in the process
- toured UK and Ireland with the band in June - brighton, manchester, peterborough, leeds, newport, swansea, gallway, belfast, letterkenney, dublin. played with some ace bands and met some ace people.
- unfortunately we had a mega band fallout after tour
- Small Mercies ended and split up VERY BADLY
- started new band with 3/4 original Small Mercies
- had a fab weekend in Liverpool with Ginny and Lisa
- did a lot of bowling
- joined gym
- got new tattoo courtesy of Linsey @ Old London Road Tattoos, Kingston
- went to amsterdam at Xmas and had the BEST time
THINGS FOR 2009...
- stay at the gym - am really enjoying it, and its working, so don't see why i won't
- do some gigs and do some recording with the new band
- Lisa and Ginnys wedding in May
- try and have some holidays even though there is no money!
- try and go to San Francisco and Berlin (or Amsterdam or Copenhagen!)
- turn 40 in November

Amsterdam was amazing. 
the Stones Cafe Giant posing throwing me out of the pub. he realised that the pub name would be in the pic and this would be plastered over the internet. if you get a chance go check out Stones Cafe - a great place for Drinkers and Smokers. And a with a bit of entertainment thrown in provided by The Giant!
so theres not that many photos. I've been to The Dam three times now, and theres only so many pictures you can take of the Canals and buildings and parks an that.
we had a great time chilling out. we really didn't get up to that much - each day consisted of us walking through Vondelpark to go to Leidseplien to have breakfast at the Pancakes House (a godawful british tourist sports bar, that sucked at night, but did great breakfast). then we'd wander off for a walk round the canals, stopping off at a random bar for a weise beer. then we'd hit the RLD, go to The Old Sailor, get pissed and watch the Xmas/Boxing Day football and listen to a crazy selection of shite europop and motown??!!
this was my fave bar - the atmosphere was so great, and even though it was in the centre of the RLD, the clientele were a dead normal friendly bunch. great place.
after that, we'd have a nose round the ladies on the way to Stones Cafe - where we'd sit and drink more and smoke (as you could in this pub, which was excellent). once we'd had enough, we'd then go for a posh evening meal, then head off to Leidseplein, where for three days running, we'd end up in the worst bars in the world (apart from our last night, the 3 Sisters was really nice, go there if you get a chance).
i really didn't wanna come back, as i knew i had nothing going on till New Years. i absolutely love Amsterdam - and i'll really miss the place while i'm unable to go back (other plans for 2009 will get in the way).

i still think its time for a SEXY PARTY.....
so...its finally happened. the end of an era. i'd been thinking about it for a while, and last night i left SGUK, a group i'd been with since i joined the site in 2003, and was a big part of for a good 3/4 years. i think its safe to say that back in the day when there wasn't so many members, a bunch of us old school members (myself included, and most of whom are no longer on the site or even in the UK) played a big part in getting it to the monster of a group its become today.
its got to the stage in the last couple of years where not only could i not attend meets anymore, i wasn't even posting in the random threads. i basically feel like a stranger in there these days, and as its likely that i'll still not be able to attend meets, i felt it was time to pull the plug. i've got some good memories and some crazy stories...but its time to move on and create new ones elsewhere...
in other news...going to AMSTERDAM FOR XMAS!!!
going with Phil from the band...i thinks its farily set in stone that this will be the bizarrest xmas i'm ever gonna have. aces.
anyways...s'laters potaters...

time for a brief update i feel...
- all going great down the gym. really enjoying it. actually starting to feel the benefit now, and actually might have started losing a bit of a my gut - it definately feels smaller! am quite into it now, and i fel really bad if i miss a session.
- latest tattoo is turning into a bit of a mission. 9 hours later, and its still not finished. luckily the last session is just gonna be for touch ups, but i'll be leaving it a month or so, cos my poor leg feels like a peice of raw meat. last nights session was AGONY. Lins is doing a great job though, and i'm dead pleased i got her to do this one.
- band finally started rehearsing again, and the songs are just falling out of us. hopefully we'll be gigging early next year. things are coming along, and we're a bit shocked by how we're sounding. we certainly don't sound like what we set out to sound like, and its pretty exciting. although i can't help but think Phils main purpose in this band is to piss people off. we shall see...
- lots of gigs coming up before the end of the year...Carter USM, Peacocks, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Gaslight Anthem, Household Name Xmas Party with Former Cell Mates and Milloy, Staying South Xmas Party with Crazy Arm and loads loads more. oh, and i'm seeing The Mighty Boosh in a couple of weeks too.
- had a great birthday weekend last week. was big fun and wasn't too messy, which makes a change. Notting Hill is definately a good place for a pub crawl...
one final thing. i just wanted to let my fellow Norms know that as of last week i left the Norms Workshop group. i didn't feel comfortable being in the group anymore and just felt like an onlooker. so it was time to move on.

saw The Bronx on monday. was a long time coming. the gig blew me away.
we turned up, and it was horrendously packed. here we go, we thought, another uncomfortable gig, being bumped into and not seeing the band...
...not true. once the band (and crowd) kicked off for the first 30 seconds, everything settled down brilliantly. the moshers and crowd surfers stayed in the middle, and the shouty dancy people (me Jackie and Carmel) stood round the outside, shouting along, actually getting to see the band, and generally have a brilliant time.
the band even seemed to have a great time too. they were fucking awesome as always. just what was needed.

its taken me a few visits to get up to speed with what i need to do, but as of this week, i think i'm pretty much there with what i've got to do. Hoping i can keep up going 4 times a week.
total shock though - i'm actually really enjoying it!
- new tattoo is coming along nicely, getting it finished in a couple of weeks. Lindsey is doing an awesome job so far, i can't wait to get it finished. Unfortunately its awkward to take pics of, so no progress pics yet.
- my new XBox is driving me insane, but i'm loving it. trying to not turn into a game buying lunatic though, as i'm so useless, it takes me ages to get round to finishing them. GTA4 i doubt will ever get played!
