Ok, you all know Im prone to a bit of artistic exaggeration, so bear with me 
Tonight was the culmination of an almost 15 year build up, and it didnt disappoint (oo-er)
I look at my all-time fave bandsI saw Ramones umpteen times from the late 80s till they split up. Ive never seen X, and I doubt I ever will. I saw Blondie once they reformed, and it was disappointing.
In 1989, the bassist from the band I was in at the time played me Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegatables by the Dead Kennedys, a record that has been in my top five albums ever since, and has been played to death on a monthly basis.
I never thought Id ever get to see DK, and that was fine I just resigned myself to getting the rest of the back catalogue instead. A back catalogue that continues to inspire, shock and amaze me to this day.
Last year, a friend of mine called Jeff joined DK as their new singer. I know Jeff through The Bouncing Souls (my exisiting favourite band), and when I found out he had joined DK (through the Souls in June last year), I thought they were playing some kinda band in-joke on me.
Today I finally saw the Dead Kennedys after 15 years of wanting to see them. I also not only got to see my mate Jeff from LA, but at the same time, also had a beer in The Ship with the lead singer of the Dead Kennedys. 
And after the gig, I got to meet DH Peligro (most awesome drummer) and East Bay Ray, one of my all-time guitar heroes...
I know the punk purists out the will moan about the fact that they are playing without Jello, and that the new guy is some kinda imposter. I know DK deserve to be playing live, especially after all the shit Jello has put them through. Jeff may not be Jello but he put on a great show all the same, backed up by one of the tightest, original and most awesome punk bands I have ever had the pleasure of seeing live.
They played Lets Lynch the Landlord, they played Kill The Poor, they played MTV Get Off The Air, and they played "Forward To Death", Too Drunk To Fuck, California Uber Alles, Holidays In Cambodia, Winnebego Warrior, Police Truck, Chemical Warfare, Bleed For Me, Nazi Punks Fuck Off, Riot, Moon Over Marin, Goons Of Hazzard, Government Flu, Viva Las Vegas, and probably a couple of others I cant remember
My face aches from grinning
My throat hurts from all the shouting
I am stunned...

we're playing the Concorde for the first time on 12th May
we're very exited, just to be on a big stage and be able to run around
