Pinback kicked ass. They played a good two-hour set, including a bunch of new songs to be released on their next album. I really gotta get off my ass and start making some music again... I miss playing. Any musicians out there?

Alas, the four day weekend is almost over.
At least it should finish on a good note - I'm going to see Pinback tonight! Woot!

Turkey makes me sleepy... hopefully someone will come do the dishes for me while I pass out on the floor of the living room

It's me vs. the turkey.
My dinner centerpiece has been soaking in a veggie brine bath since midnight last night... just about ready to hit the oven.
Besides the bird, I'm making my tasty cranberry relish, mashed potatoes with sour cream, green bean casserole, and from-scratch buttermilk dinner rolls.
Seven close friends coming over later today to be fed.
I love Thanksgiving.
