Reminds me of the days I had livejournal and used it all the freakin time. Somehow facebook took over and my postings went down substantially.


Anyway, life has been busy!

My company is getting off the ground and doing pretty well. We have a few shows coming up that I'm pretty excited for that I will now share with you here:

One is this Saturday at the Jimmy Jazz with the Stanfields & the James Kay Band, and the next is a week today at Club Vinyl with USS, My Son the Hurricane & the Sweet Mack!!

Beyond the business I've been working a decent amount bartending as well as doing freelance work for Red Tree Entertainment setting up conferences, shows and other events. It's been fun and I hope to make the latter my full time job if I can. We'll see how that works out.


I've also moved to downtown Guelph and am liking the new place a lot. It's nice being back downtown. Surprisingly enough I've actually cut back on my drinking and going downtown since I moved down here. Weird right?!

Well I need to be heading off to get some laundry done and sort out more of my life.

I'm feeling scattered again.
Trying to keep up with my responsibilities while keeping afloat.

It's strange really. One minute everything's on track, the next BAM! Scattered.

My vacation is nearing its end and I've gotta say, it was pretty fun.

Florida treated me well.

I do believe I even have a tan!

It's a bit world out there.

Pot addled mind

I'm still feeling a little scattered after last week.

My festival went off without any real hitches.

I was a little surprised at the turn-out, but at the same time I wasn't.

I was banking on getting about 200 people out.

To make my money back I needed 300 ish people through the doors.

I'm not sure if I posted about said festival in past post or not, but the idea behind it has been in the works for quite some time now.

In fact most of my time had been devoted to planning it.

No school, no social life, just work and the festival.

I was so occupied and would up about it that I lost a potential girlfriend.

Ha, but what else is new.

That always seems to happen.

Anyway, the whole thing went down March 10th and it was a success.

We had just over 400 people through the doors and the GAIN Music Festival was born

In case you're wondering about the name it stands for Guelph & Area Independent & New Music Festival.

My partners (also good friends of mine) and I have decided to make an events & promotions company out of the festival and are in the process of creating a 3 year plan built around the festival.

The idea is to throw shows with high production at a low cost to the show-goer under the name of GAIN Music in an effort to contribute to the already thriving music scene here in Guelph.

Things are looking up.

But I'm still a hermit.

Nearly forgot about the Florida trip I have planned for April 1st!!

Holy crap that's soon!!!

So excited!!

Some thoughts about this past weekend and Family day:

My Dad was more or less my age when he and my mother had my older sister.
We've lived our lives, I'm nearly 27 and today my father was moved to Sarnia to a permanent care home.
Alzheimer's is a bitch.

Women.

You play me like the fool that I am.

As it stands... I likely deserve it.

But that doesn't stop my heart from hurting.

And yes, it does hurt.

A little more of my sleeve was done today. I couldn't afford much time but a good amount of shading in the cityscape is now done.

Posting pictures would be a waste of time because it still needs some work.
