So the summer is shaping up great. Me and the friends I ride with (The MountainMafia) have booked an RV for a 3 week road trip, the Summer Tour if you will. I'm pretty stoked about that. We are hitting some cool places but probably the coolest stop, along with Vegas, will be Hell City in Phoenix. We are also in talks with some cool sponsors. PBR (yeah, the beer) may be joining us as one of our title sponsors. Now if I can just get the hooks in Sailor Jerry rum, life would be tight LOL. We also may be getting ready to announce a partnership with a HUGE tattoo company. Stay tuned, this could be epic.

Other than that my life is pretty damn good this summer. I am switching jobs, and moving from the medical clinic I currently work at, to a local hospital - still working with sleep disorders. The good part is I can stay on the clinic part time until they officially close that lab, so that means more dinero for the road.

Summer is here and while I usually ride my dirt bike like a feind, I sold it recently. I have my Little Ninja to think about, and since I am apparently not able to just ride at a relaxing level, it was probably best I sell it before she has to push me around in a wheelchair. I do still have my Freeride Mtn Bike, so it will see a lot of use this summer. I am looking at buying another bike, like a Harley though. I'm thinking the Iron 883. It's a small bike (I'm used to a 1200), but they may not be a bad thing right now.

I have a new GF.... I know right? She's pretty rad. She has a little girl who is only 6 months younger than The Ninja, so that 's another plus. My little girl LOVES making new friends. Its all kind of new, but it is nice to have someone to spend time with, who likes a lot fo the same stuff as I do, and seems to understand how I think. She's a totally good mom, and I think that says a lot about a person. She's also totally rockin' with my little one, so that's a good thing. We'll see. Its comfortable for the moment and I haven't seen that in a long time.

Ok, how about some pics....

So that's where the summer sits. I do have some new tattoo work done, and I;ll post pics of that soon. I hope all you in SG land are loving life. Stay real......

Another good weekend with my Little Ninja....

So life is amazingly fun right now. I am spending lots of time with my little girl, and totally loving every second of it. Her mother is done with school for the summer, and that means her schedule opened up a lot more. The end result is that she is able to now meet me to pick my little girl up on Tuesdays again, so my weekends with my daughter pretty much doubled!

Her last weekend with me, we spent an entire day at a car / motorcycle show. For being barely 3 yrs old, it is amazing to see how much she likes cars and LOVES motorcycles. She was also diggin' the girls who were there for the Pin-Up pageant.

Then Sunday we spent the entire day at the park. Its so awesome to see how kids can just totally forget about everything and how a park become their entire world. Watching her and playing in the park with her makes you realize just how insignificant the stresses of the world really are.

That was followed during the week, by my Little Ninja getting tubes in her ears. Hopefully, all the ear infections will be behind us now. Here's a shot of the Ninja as she is about to head to surgery....

So other than that... getting ready to start my 3 day work week tonight, and count the hours until I pick my daughter up on Friday. Another car show with her this weekend, and making s'mores out by the fire pit in the evenings. It will be epic to say the least.

My friends and I have decided to hit the road this summer. We have an RV and are going on a 3 week road trip. Loading the mtn bikes, and heading out to see friends. It looks like we are headed to Okla, then to Austin, and from there to Phoenix for Hell City, and finally back to NoCo. So it looks like we have the first ever MountainMafia Summer Tour 2010 on the books. If you are anywhere along our path, let us know. Let's have a beer and some fun... deal?

Hope all in SG land are well... and having a great summer.

So my Little Ninja turned 3 on the 11th of April. Due to how her bday fell, and the Easter holiday, I went like 27 days without seeing her, and had to wait until tis past weekend to celebrate her turning another year older. It sucked to have to wait, but we had so much fun. Watching her grow up and learn has been so amazing. I missed out on a lot with my son's life, and have tried to not make that same mistake with my little girl's. She spent the weekend totally soaking up being a Birthday Princess.....

Her one big ting she wanted to do was to go to Chuck E Cheese. I have no idea why, because I quickly found out that the employee suited up like the man Chuck E. himself is like kryptonite to Little Ninja's. She was scared totally shitless of this suit, which is strange because she rarely shows fear of anything. It was a fun trip with her though, and after some pizza, she chilled out and hit the game room on a mission...

That night it was a dinner made at her request of "Meat Cakes," which is actually just smoked ribs, and baked potatoes, and of course cake and ice cream.

So another year passed, and I'm kinda wondering where it went. She is growing up WAY too fast.

Life is busy. I just got back from a trip to Tulsa, OK which the partying can only be described as Rock Star status. I saw my younger brother, who I hadn't seen in like 4 or 5 years (which is weird because we are very close), and a ton of old friends thanks to Facebook. I think I'm headed back in a month or so. I have sold my dirt bike, which I already regret and am looking for another one as we speak. The good news is CO weather is warming up and its time to tune the mtn bikes up and get out and hit the freeride trails.

I hope you are all well in SG land... I'll update more when I have more news.

So i just spent an amazing set of days with BOTH of my kids together with me. It was the first time in over a year and a half I had them both at the same time.. hell, it was the first time in that long I have even seen my son. He and I did spend a day snowboarding, and the riding was awesome, but unfortunately the weather and timing didn't hold out for us to get the dirt bikes out. It amazes me, with all the miles between my kids (he lives in Texas and she lives in Co Springs) and the years between them (he is 16 and she will be 3 next month) that they are close like they are. They picked up like they had just seen each other yesterday and it is awesome to see how she totally adores her older brother and he is totally melted by her. I really enjoyed having what family I have left all together. I grabbed tons of pics and vid and compiled a quick vid of their Spring Break. I'm just starting to experiment with Movie Maker, so its a pretty rough movie.

I got some pretty epic pics of the two of them as well....

Other than that... its back to work for me tonight. I've had a little over a week off, and now it's back to the grind.

If yo guys haven't seen her, then you NEED to check out Phecda, and if you are wondering just how hot she is... well, here's a little preview.

12 hours... that's all that stands between me and a 15 day vacation! I have one shift to work tonight then I'm out of work for two weeks, plus a day. I'm pretty stoked. I have the weekend to myself and then a couple days to take care of errands. I drive to DIA and pick up my 16 yr old son on Wed!!!

My son:

And then he and I will load up and head to Co Springs to pick up my daughter.

This will be the first time in over a year and a half that I have BOTH my kids together with me. I am beyond stoked. I am still in disbelief I am about to see my son. It has been wayyyy too long. One of the most unfortunate things to happen in the divorce from my daughter's mom is that she felt the need to feed my son lies, which in turn caused a HUGE riff between him and I. One to the point he would not even speak to me, or return emails for 9 months or so. Thankfully, now that issues with her and I have calmed, she did the right thing, came clean to him, and he and I are on the road to rebuilding our relationship. So, with him coming out, the weather looks like it will be awesome, so that means he will get some time to ride dirt bikes with me and the rest of the MountainMafia, we will do some cooking out, hanging with his little sister, and then the three of us are headed up to spend a day snowboarding next Friday.

I found this old pic of my kids together, and it kind of typifies their relationship, even though they live around 1,000 miles apart:
zoom image

I really need this time with my kids. I am totally single again, and some time with them together will be therapeutic. There is a lot of things I miss since my divorce. I miss having a best friend, experiencing close times, feeling like I was taking care of someone and they in turn were taking care of me, but most of all I miss having a family. I think having both of my kids with me for a few days will give me that sense again... at least for the time being. I know that this will be a time I take absolutely NOTHING for granted with them.

Life is going to be good for those few days. I know I want to create memories for each of them to always have. It surprises me how close the two of them are considering their age difference and the miles between them. They both love each other whole heartedly, and my little one especially is very outspoken as for her love of her brother.

Maybe this is a new beginning for me. Maybe I need this time with my unconventional "family" to recharge a bit and get my life back on track. I do know kids ground you.. show you what is really important. I need that from time to time. I know as I got out of the shower today I was looking at all the different nautical stars I have tattooed on my body. I thought of how in researching them I found that pirates and sailors of the old days used them in navigating the seas... it helped them find their way. I thought of how the entire reason I started to get tattoos of nautical stars was to signify that I need help some times finding my way... in life. And now looking at where my life is, and what it has become, I see how my kids are just the same thing to me... my own personal nautical stars.

I hope everyone is well...

Spent the weekend with my little girl. Its hard to try and get a 2 yr old to understand why she can't stay with one parent and HAS to go with the other. Seeing her cry and hear her beg to stay with me makes it hard.. REAL hard. Its only been a couple hours, and I miss her immensely. I absolutely HATE the empty feeling I have when she is gone. Someone once told me that children of divorce are truly heartbreaking at this age... I agree. I'll update more in depth tomorrow. I hope that your day is going better than mine.
