I just watched this movie:

Which totally took a doo-doo in the face of Cabin in the Woods, which I thought was a pretty clever film but I came out thinking it was average.

1. Mum's birthday almost passed me by. As fourteen years have gone since she's been gone, I'm getting used to it.

2. I have stories to write and nothing to show you on www.missmolar.com as I am submitting them for publishing, so can't even give a sneak preview.

3. I cannot wait to start my new job. I really feel like a worthwhile retail professional, really excited about setting up thier analysis and learning PHP. Not sure when I became so professionally confident, but I like it.

4. Ah, so I have a Vitamin D deficiency, which is why I find it so hard to exercise. Really want to get back to running, and finally post some shots. But I need to get into shape if I'm to be an active oldie tongue One more stop until the big four-oh...

5. I have a trapped shoulder nerve killing me today, and linguistics analysis to be doing (almost killing me wink).

Too long, too long....

Life is hectic. After 20 years in music retail, 13 with my current employer, I leave in just two weeks. TWO WEEKS!! To a lifestyle of learning, working, progressing and some more working, as my career moves forward and I can finally save to buy a flat. Eventually. Programming language and making a commercial business impact sits ahead of me.
Despite this, I am still doing two courses at uni. TWO COURSES!!!! My last essays, due on the same day, were my highest scoring so far on both courses. Still right on track for a 2:1, trying to make sure all of my stories don't end with someone dying. My next is on childhood, so I get to fool around with memories and turn them into fiction this weekend. Has to be this weekend, as I hope to go away next week and am captain of a boat on the Thames the week after.

More to come. Btw, I'm falling asleep to the Shining, my favourite movie of all time.

There's every chance I am actually getting obsessed with exploring imagery through Instagram.
I love how candid it is, and how I can select an slr shot, pick a feature and turn it into another image altogether.

Showing some earlybird love last night:

Of course, I do not possess the luxury to become obsessed with anything if it isn't work, 'proper' photography or university.

I spend my days messing with words, as images fall by the wayside nowadays.

Yeah, I love Christmas...

I won't see any of my family this year, but I do get to spend it at home, which is a nice change. I've taken a few days unpaid leave, so I can get plenty of writing done, as well as lounge around and watch movies in my pants.

Today I went down to the farmer's market, it was incredible. Unfortunately my wallet did not like it as much as my tastebuds, but I still managed to get two small veggie pies for my Christmas lunch. One on the day and one tomorrow with the neighbours. I'm in charge of veg, number 7 are preparing meat and number 6 the dessert, then we're all congregating here before heading off to carols by candlelight. It's a nice community. Ha, the bell just went, that'll be a neighbour! Actually have started with a social life since I moved here, even if it is at the next door neighbours house!

I push my legs over the side, knowing the creak of this metal frame will wake him. I hate getting up in the night for a pee, especially when I am this tired, but I know that if I don't go, the rest of my sleep will be light and interrupted. I stumble into the dark hallway, and wait, it looks too light in here. I'm used to wandering through in the dark most nights. Bumbling back behind me for my glasses, I put them on and yes! The door is open. Fuck. Is anyone here? My first instinct is to swing left straight into the living room, and once I see the laptop on the dining table where I left it, I know we haven't been burgled. I return to click the door shut, then have a second check. Is anyone here? iPad, check, xbox check. We must've left the door open. I grab the closest towel, the Guns'N'Roses one I use for my hair, protect my nakedness and poke my head out of the door. A bag of recycling outside where my neighbour left it in front of me and looking right, I see the external door is shut. Thank you. Just us being idiots.

I finally get to pee, but it doesn't bring relief. Suddenly I am overcome with the sense that my whole body is on fire and I lie flat on the cold grey lino, trying to absorb it's temperature. This is how I get the moments before I throw up. Pressing into the floor, my body squeaks against it, like a child trying to make fart sounds. And here I lay until it subsides, until I start feeling really fucking cold and head back under the duvet. One last check that the latch has clicked before I go.
