Well, I'm back. On here and in Ireland.
The removals van was due thursday 7th, am. Here's a short resume...
"The removals van didn't come on Thursday morning, or Thursday evening, or even Friday. His boss came on the following Tuesday night at about 10pm. therein followed a long uncomfortable journey up to Cairn Ryan, where we were supposed to catch the 4.30 ferry to Larne. Neeson, the boss, checked we were booked on then drove us across the road so he could kip. We were checked in for quarter to four. And sat waiting to go on. We were in a 33 ft wagon. We watched about 20 40 footers drive past us, who had checked in after us. THEN the harbour master came over and said that he was sorry, but there was no room for us on the ship! Well, Neeson lost the plot and argued the fuck with him to no avail. He then swung the wagon round at an almighty speed back to the harbour office, and jumped out to argue with the lass behind the counter. It was no use; we were stuck there till 7.15. Have you ever tried to sleep in a third of the space of a wagon cab? I ended up curled up upright, desperately trying to get some kip. It was draughty, cold and cramped; I didn't succeed. However, we got on the 7.15, and I got some tea and felt a lot more human. On arrival in Northern Ireland, I spent 2 hours in Neeson's garage with the creatures, waiting for mum (and and the bitch from hell, who arrived at Belfast City at about 11am.) It in wasn't finished, so was freezing cold, and I huddled up in my old sleeping bag, which was luckily was one of the bits of luggage unloaded whilst he went off to another job."
Suffice to say I'm here now, but whilst the aunt bitch from hell is here, it isn't very fun. I am the vicitm of all her bitchyness and so forth (last time it was mum, the time before that my brother.) I'm living in my room with the cats, who have adjusted extremely well. Granted they have tried to jump through a closed plate glass window, but that was tilly, and she's dim anyways
I need to get used to this internet freedom again. I haven't had thi smuch freedom for a long time. But I am back now.

Due to some extreme problems in the house, mandy and i will be returning to Ireland as of dec 10th. This is also to make sure my Granny is ok. We willl set up internet there. However, until then, I doubt I'll be online much.

My Granddad died on Friday the 13th. We held a service and then cremated him on Friday 20th. He'd had a CAT scan on the tuesday before he died, and it showed the cancer had grown a lot in his abdominal cavity, and he had secondaries in his brain, liver and lungs. It was the lungs that killed him, he had pulmonary embolism.
AT least it was quick and peaceful. He still looked like Granddad.
It hasn't really hit yet.

Status Report: Minathing will be offline for awhile.
Those of you who've looked at my details will know my Granddad has terminal cancer. It's in its last stages now. You'll also notice I'm a care assistant. Rather obviously, I'm going home to be with him and look after him. This man brought me up, he has been my father from day one.
The photos from the PVC shoot aren't of a high enough standard to post. I'll take some more when I get back. I don't know how long that will be. We don't have the internet at my home in Ireland.
I just want to thank you guys for the lovely welcome you've given me, especially Hood and Raziel.

Seeing as the housemates are out for the evening, I have had the option to play a bit on their laptop. And since it was a beautiful evening, and I needed cheering up, I got the little lady to shoot some photos. Please bear in mind a couple of things -
*M has never shot pictures before, not really.
*My "real" camera isn't working - we were using the old 2mp non slr, non lcd screen digital - as you can see, it doesn't exactly get colours very well, they all look a bit faded.
*It's a long time since I've posed for a camera - I'm nearly always behind it!
However, these are four of my favourites - the other four can be seen in the gallery thing. I haven't photoshopped any of these, just cropped them to cut the crap. (my new avatar/icon/photo thing is another matter, but as housemates laptop only has microsoft photo editor, even that as had ery little done to it.)
Maybe small things please small minds, but I'm quite pleased with these, despite the faded colours and grainy texture. The only bit that bugs me is that my hair colour doesn't show up well - I'm really a bright auburn colour. I would like opinions and crits though, feel free...

So, my day. I was at work the last two nights, and couldn't sleep today, so I spent the majority of it catching up with an old work mate who happens to be my neighbour; we compared shitness. (lack of money, family worries, etc.)
I've also been sat staring at our cat, willing her to go into labour - she's been pregnant for eight and a half weeks, and that's quite long enough! She's Huuuuuge!
Ohh, and my PVC gear from skintwo arrived yesterday - well impressed with that; good quality, not tacky, and suprisingly comfortable. Just waiting for the rubber skirt to turn up now... I might ask to borrow a friends camera, and get some pics taken of the outfits; they're rather fine, if I do say so myself.
And the cold is receding, but I'm still hacking up nasty coloured gook, rather painfully so. On that note, I shall leave you for the taste of nicotine.

The joy of living with housemates is that only one of the laptops in the house is linked to the net, and it ain't mine. Hence I only have the one photo on my housemates computer and it's a very sweet one of me getting ready for my "civil partnership" - bless.
I think it's great that glbt can now have almost the same status as straight people in terms of "marriage" but why the fuck do they call it civil partnership? I mean, does that mean we weren't civil to each other before hand? Or that now we've signed the little bit of paper making us legal, that we have to say "please dear" and "thank you my love?" - rather than "ass over here for a good whipping sexy!" ? Pause for thought.
So. It's 6.50 am. I've been awake since 3 am thanks to my kitten walking up and down on my chest which is heavily contracted due to catching a cold two days ago. I've had a cup of white tea with extra added valerian (yum...
) and sleep still isn't coming. Given I only went to bed at about 11.30, this is shite. I should explain - I work nights, so on my days off, my sleeping pattern is as fucked as can be.
In saying that, it's been a productive couple of days - this time yesterday i was buying shiny things from skintwo, and 12 hours before that i was again putting in my plastic number to purchase the lovly "fetish sex symbol" by Bianca Beauchamps. Think i've done rather well.
Why is it, whenever I go out to work, and my housemate wants some fags, she alway knows where mine are, but whenever she's not around, I have no clue where hers are?
