well it was just too gorgeous to work yesterday so I called out and took a drive to Ninigret National Wildlife Refuge in Charlestown, RI. It was about 75 degrees, breezy, sunny....heaven.....I needed some alone quiet time and was craving some nature. The trails wind around the state's biggest salt pond...the wildflowers were in bloom and there were butterflies and huge dragonflies everywhere, so pretty. I saw some crabs too. If you have never smelled a salt pond, let me describe...it is one of the most horrific smells, yet oddly pleasant....smells like Rhode Island, home.....weird....then of course I had to drive by Galilee and get clam cakes and chowder....Jimmy's Portside has the best, I don't care what anyone says, there's a million clam shacks and everyone has their favorite.....
