My vacation ended Thursday night with the return to work. It was terrible. I fell asleep on my last break and nobody woke me up when it was time to go back. I finally woke up 20 minutes after our break had ended. Obviously I have to get used to staying up until 7 again. Tonight I fell asleep on a pile of sweaters and woke up utterly confused and unaware of where I was. I was totally out. I'm not sure if somebody woke me up or if I just happened to wake up at the end of our break. Anyway, that's about the most exciting thing that happened at work.
My vacation was a basket full of fun though. I got to hang out with the majority of my friends. Minus Mr.Gross, because he left a day earlier then he was supposed to, as I found out when I arrived at his house. So, he's back at college now, and probably won't be home for a while. I did a bit of shopping during my time off. I bought myself a book on how to play keyboards, a red hoodie, a Berlin record, and tons of other shit. I love to shop, more so than most of the girls I know.
I also asked the ohsocute girl at Orbit music for an application and she voluntarily put herself down as a reference and said that she'd tell 'em to hire me. Too bad she also informed me she was quitting in a few weeks. So, even if I were to get a job there I won't get to work with her anyway. BAH! I think she has a girlfriend anyway.
My vacation also consisted of seeing Dan Andriano of Alkaline Trio perform a solo acoustic set. He played some very wonderful songs including, but not limited to, She Took Him to the Lake, Maybe I'll Catch Fire, Enjoy Your Day, and he covered Elvis Costello's song "What's so Funny About Peace, Love, and Understanding". The show was only $2! Being that it was a Tuesday night though I could'nt find anybody able to go, and I went by myself. Which made the night not nearly as much fun as it could have been. The good thing about going by myself was the fact that I only made one stop the entire round trip. That being to get gas, which had to be done or else I would have run out. Normally the number of stops ranges from 3-5.
And what vacation would be complete without a little bit of adversity? The final night of my vacation, about a mile from my house, I came up over a little hill and a dog runs out in front of me. So, naturally I slammed on my brakes and ended up sliding off the road. Luckily I didn't hit the dog. I was so concered with whither or not the dog was okay that it took me a while to even notice that I was stuck. I'm very proud to say though, that I totally got out by myself.
Well, it's under the covers for me. Goodnight.
