I think I've expressed my loathing for UPS here before, but I think this is the most I have ever wanted to blow them to tiny tiny pieces. I've been struggling with their tendency to not deliver my packages to my apartment ever since I moved in here and they've been resolutely completely unhelpful. But after my seething rage over my monitor not getting delivered a few months back I thought I finally had things licked.
So, on a completely unrelated note, my C: drive on my primary PC died on Monday. Sucks, but I do have the funds to replace it even if it's an expense and hassle I didn't want. So I immediately ordered a 2 TB 7200 RPM Seagate internal drive off Amazon, scheduled to arrive tonight.
Do you see where I'm going with this?
Yeah, UPS didn't deliver it. Ah! But this time I was a MyChoice member, so I should be able to electronically authorize (and indeed set a standing order authorizing) leaving my package like I really fucking want them to do every single goddamn time, right? 'cause that's what they told me, and what they advertised, and what the help says? No, no I cannot. Nothing of the sort to be found. So I call their support number and bypass their completely fucking unhelpful electronic menu that never has anything to do with anything I would ever call them about because it's all functions their fucking website already does (but I know less computer literate people might so whatever) and say "Hey, what the fuck, these functions are not there and they should be." Turns out, they're only available to Premium members. AKA they want me to pay $40 a year just to get my fucking packages delivered to my doorstep, on time, like they're fucking supposed to be in the first place. FUCK UPS.
And of course, there is fuck all I can do about it. I've filed a Better Business Bureau complaint (weirdly, the BBB that will handle it is in Canada), which I fully expect to have no result or at best...
