I get asked this question all the time.
Well first off i want to tell you my story.
Never did i think this would be life, and i am so blessed it actually makes me teary eyed just talking about it.
I came from a super small town in Connecticut, where no one even knows about SG.
I thought i was going to grow up with this super normal life and just work retail till i figured the rest out.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ive loved Suicidegirls for as long as i remember, i purchased a year membership for myself on my 18th birthday.
I was a part of the Community and a chatter, even met up with other members and hopefuls for a meet up.
I knew for sure that Suicidegirls was the site for me.
Well shortly after that i received a message from a photographer asking me if i would like to shoot!
and after talking to my friends and some members i decided to do it!
I went to Ohio to shoot with the amazing Alissa Brunelli where i met sunshine and radeo!
Alissa was so good to me and got me super stoned and then we both went to dirty franks after to celebrate!
After shooting my first set, i decided that i wanted to travel as much as possible.
Shortly after that i flew to LA to shoot with sean, thats where i met the suicidegirls meelajane and the beautiful Dot (RIP)
I had the greatest weekend and everyone was so nice to me, they showed me around and took me to this thai festival!
it was my first time coming to west coast i was so nervous but everyone really made me feel like i fit right it.
I even met up and hung out with some LA members!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I went back home for a bit, and received an email from suicidegirls asking if i would like to attend comic con!!!
LETS TAKE A MOMENT OF SILENCE FOR THIS.
I couldn't believe it, i was screaming with excitement!
i saved up enough for the flight, and SG helped take care of the rest.
I was fortunate enough that summer to have a picture of me drawn by cameron stewart put into the SG comic book.
(bucket list check)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
from then i worked with Talented photographers from all over.
-Darryl Darko in San Francisco for the SF shootfest where i hung out with some of my greatest friends.
-Waikiki in Brooklyn NY, who i will say is a ray of love where ever she goes.
-Went to Hellcity in Phoenix to help shoot a bunch of beautiful women.
In that year alone i made so many new friends, all because of suicidegirls!
I met Girls that i can say Are my BEST friends to this day.
I have made memories that i will tell people till the grave.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After all of my fun adventures shooting and jet setting around the country i took a bit of a break.
I was still living in Connecticut and wanted to focus on work and getting a higher position.
Then one day i get an email from @sean and @missy asking me if i would like to be the merch girl for the new Blackheart Burlesque tour.
That Meant having to quit my job i had worked so hard for, for the road.
for a job that was not even close to permanent...
But i did it, i could not turn down an opportunity to do this, especially for suicidegirls.
A company that has brought me friendships from all over the globe.
A job that would allow me to travel and see the whole country!
So i decided that i was going to work my absolute hardest and show them that I am being serious about this job and that i love working for them.
Well i did it.
And Before i knew it Blackheart Burlesque Was growing and people wanted to the see the suicidegirls from all over.
When i thought that one tour was over and i had to go back home we would all get news about another tour.
I now can say I am seasoned and professional merch girl.
I ended the US tour like a merch master, impressing venues all over and helping SG make money.
Suicidegirls believed that i could do it again, so they sent me to Australia and Canada, London, Chile and The Full US Tour 2 more times .
And man was that tough.
It was 100% the hardest job i have ever done.
But you know what i loved it, and am so proud of myself and everything I've learned.
and now i can handle slangin' merch in 5 different countries ah!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I flew home after all the festivities to relax for a bit.
Then on a Tuesday afternoon i got a phone call from @missy asking if i would like to come and work at SGHQ and help prep all the tours and handle merch for suicidegirls.
But that would mean i would have to move to los angeles and leave everything i have ever known behind.
I didn't know what to do...
But then i sat myself down and i knew i had to do it.
My dream when i started Suicidegirls was to eventually work at SGHQ and help the company grow.
Suicidegirls helped my dream come true.
And they still continue helping me reach goals i never thought i could
I sit at SGHQ writing this at my desk, while working at a job i am so proud to work for.
Suicidegirls has given me so many opportunities, and i am forever thankful.
I owe them so much, that i have no problem putting my blood, sweat, hard work and tears into this company.
They are always there for me, always believing in me.
Being nothing but kind to me and always accommodating and making sure that I am happy with what i am doing.
and even putting their foot down when i need it.
So now you see how suicidegirls has changed my life.
Suicidegirls is my life and i wouldn't have it any other way.
And why am i a suicidegirl?
Why would i not want to be one?
