i love the internets. i love being connected with random people & i love finding pals thru similar interests. i am super big into fiber arts (i mean, i OWN a spinning wheel! and now a drum carder too.) those are pretty specific tools- so maybe i need really specific friends. anyway, i'm always looking to find friends that are into 1. crafting 2. handmade (either making your own goodies or simple living the handmade lifetstyle) 3. friendly!! chatty! pen-pal types. 4. yarnsters/spinsters if you make yarn, or like yarn. we are secret bffs. 5. music lovers (especially indie music & classic rock). i have become addicted to twitter & ravelry. twitter first, um... does it get any better than to be able to casually chat w/ strangers all day long. it's nice. we have a whole group of spinners (that sell on etsy) who all chat it up together. cute. secondly, ravelry. it's a knit/crochet community- which is shweet enough as is. but because i'm not all into "reading" patterns- i never really caught the rav bug. but NOW- i have discovering forums and all the spinning groups & i even started my OWN ravelry group! (search "i heart rawfish yarns" to find my following!). oh & i love flickr too. okay, im just computer obsessed. i assume all of you are too. i mostly love sg for the hilarious/amazing forums (okay, and the hot girls).

we are actually moving to ny! i need to find a new lys (local yarn shop) and a job (boo!) and an apartment (anyone know of an apartment in kensington 1 br for under 1300??). so that is chaotic and crazy. we are going THIS WEEKEND to look at apartments! i really hope we find one so we can just MOVE already! i am so tired of this whole "in limbo" thing.

so ive just been baking a lot of cupcakes & spinning a lot of yarn.

its strange that im not really planning anything for halloween. i think the bf & i are going to carve pumpkins tonight. we got a tall one (for him) & a short one (for me). halloween night we are going to watch a shitload of horror movies and then maybe pass out candy if anyone shows up. still have no costume ideas but it would really suck if we didnt dress up at all.

i made apple cider today which was really yummy & totally hit the spot. it was really windy & gray all day today which threw off my spinning regimen. since i was supposed to make two yarns or at least a fiber batt to put in the store (rawfish.etsy.com). oh well. i just sat around in a hoodie & browsed things online. i tried to look up filing for a biz license but since i sell online & i move around all the time i never know which state to file under. i'll just wait until maybe we eventually move to ny. we are supposed to go to brooklyn- but what with the us economy sucking balls & both of us being artists fresh out of college we have nothing! i am a real life spinster & i make yarn all day. and my bf draws freelance male on male tickle porn for a website called achillesheel. i think his stuff is pretty neat & hes getting paid pretty well. but neither one of our incomes could sustain us in the most expensive city in the us!

sigh. maybe one day. but you know, all i need is yarn & him & maybe a dream little garden and i will be content.

IM BAAACK! finally i had time/funds to buy back in to sg. can't wait to hit the albums & the forums. also my passion for yarn & fibery goodness has blown up off the charts! so the little website- www.rawfish.etsy.com - i mentioned a year ago has been going really well. anyway, i wanted to just say that i have returned! im updating my profile & things and i will be an active account again!

my boyfriend just got a new tattoo. he's an illustrator. and so far all his tattoos are comic related, he had a word balloon and a calvin and hobbes tattoo. and he's a major collector which makes me want to break into the comic world to be able to like hold my own with him. and seeing his new ink makes me itch for some more of my own. ive been thinking about getting a tattoo in memorium for seth fisher (my first favorite comic book artist) from his iron man big in japan series (issue 2) where one of the monsters, Droom, makes iron man a sandwich outta buildings (because hes godzilla size) and its amazing. but i also have his willworld graphic novel and pretty much every page of that is insane. as well as the mini series in batman, and doom partrol. but i feel like the droom tattoo would go best with my lime green popsicle tattoo.
so hopefully after i have a lil more cash flow, ill be sporting a brand new seth fisher tattoo.

i finally got paid! oh yeah, paying my rent this month. woot. what else? i have a new tattoo idea and that is always exciting and amazing. ill try to upload a photo later... what else is good? lots of things. doing well in school! i scored the best out of my entire class on my psych midterm and that rocks. my bf is being so great to me right now, i cant help but be smiley. and my quasi-gf (haha) well shes pretty effing hot.

only one bad thing... we're already starting to look for new places to live for next year and its just a pain because frankly baltimore crime rates are through the roof. my friends just got mugged right outside my apartment building last night and they came over to see me, so i felt really guilty. thankfully my pal left her wii at my house because she didnt want to carry it, otherwise it might have been stolen!!!! so yeah, terrible. sigh. thats life though. wish me luck on finding a safe place to live. and hopefully cheap too. cuz im a broke lil kid.

spring break 2007!! new york and bk and chillin in delaware. life couldnt be better! hope all is well with you folks! xoxo

im all moved in from across the hall. i just got my cable and internet reinstalled and life is beginning to go back to normal. however, i had a crazy past week,
lots of real life scares, i lost my job at the teashop just cuz it wasnt busy enough, and my landlord tried to unjustly take me to court even though i pay my rent every month, and my great aunt died, so my mom had been dealing with that so its not like she had time to help me out. and if i did have to go to court, i wouldve had to go by myself and it was very scary. it was one of those times where you just closed your eyes and wished deeply that your parents didnt live in chicago and you in baltimore. sometimes, as hard as it is to admit, you just need your mom.
well besides for all of that, which i got fixed, by going down to see my landlord and being like wtf, and then her being like whoops, guess im taking you to court for no reason. i was like please cancel that court date. and then i filled out an application for a new job (fingers crossed i get it) and my mom offered to loan me the money to make rent this month since i have no current income.
well thats life.
