About Me

"Let us go then, you and I,
When the evening is spread out against the sky
Like a patient etherised upon a table.."

(Yeah, yeah, more unimaginative x-posting)

...And that's another weekend gone. Why can't they be longer? Is time to do fun stuff and relax too much to ask for? *sigh*

Friday continued to be ace. I lost 5.3kg last month (yay for mouth surgery!), and I discovered that I can still get my tongue ring in, despite it having been out for weeks. I've been celebrating by eating crap food ever since. Back on the Diet Wagon tomorrow. Honest.

Went for a wander down to the local motorbike shop on Saturday. I've been eyeing off a shiny new Virago they've had on display in town for ages (in the National Bank, of all places). Of course, he informed me that it was crap. But since he's adamant that I should get a sports bike, that's hardly surprising. He did, however, concede that the cruiser suited me when I sat on it, which was very sweet of him. Thankfully it's a big back yard, and I'm not as useless with manual vehicles as I seem to remember. I didn't hit anything, or break either the bike or myself, which I thought was impressive. And it was great to have a refresher on how to ride before the training/testing days next weekend. There's life in this Transport plan yet.

Saw the new Harry Potter movie on Saturday night. It was...schmeh. I preferred it to the book, but only because it wasn't as frustratingly depressing. Usually I'm unimpressed when directors fail to capture the mood of a book, but this time around it may have been a saving grace. Order...
